I was woken up by Mattheo of all people “Get your but out of bed, it’s Christmas, we have been waiting for you. I opened my eyes and saw Thomas and Theodore standing in the doorway. Mattheo went and opened the blinds. I went back under my covers to block out the daylight, it gave me a headache.

“Y/n stop acting like Mattheo and get up” Thomas declared 

“Hey, I have good reason to sleep in and stay in bed and Y/n, I understand how you feel right now but if you don’t get up you won’t get any presents” 

“Fine, just give me like ten minutes, close the blinds and the door and I will be downstairs in ten”

“Great” Mattheo closed the blinds and all the boys left. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. I washed my face to wake up then changed into soft and comfy sweatpants and a green long sleeve t-shirt then grabbed my gifts and put it in one bag then went downstairs.    

Two girls were sitting in the corner hugging and opening gifts while Thomas, Mattheo, and Theodore sat on the couches. They smiled when they saw me, it was too early for this. I made sure I hid the bag as I came down then put it to the side where they wouldn’t see it, I wanted them to open them last. I saw a small pile of gifts next to everyone and then a small pile for me that was next to me. “We open these gifts first then we give each other our gifts, deal” Thomas asked 

“Deal” We all replied. They all started opening their gifts. I looked at the names of the people who gave me them. Indu sent me a gift, I opened it first, it was a dreamcatcher. I always wanted one. The string was leather-ish, there were feathers as well, I loved it. A note attached read that Indu made it by hand. She also got me a book I recognized as the book I saw her put under her pillow. I opened up all my other gifts. I got a book from Olivia on ancient runes that I had never read before. Evelyn got me a gold necklace with my name on it, I wasn’t expecting her to have remembered my name. Jamal got me a silver chain bracelet with a silver and emerald broomstick on it, it was cute, I guessed he liked the sport. The last gift was from Olivia, Evelyn, and Harper. I opened it to reveal a beaded bracelet that had all the house’s colors and then there was a note explaining that we all had one to symbolize that even though we were in different houses we still could be friends. It was sweet but I didn’t know if I would ever wear it. 

I waited for the boys to be done opening their gifts then Thomas gave his gifts to us. I opened it to reveal earrings that were exactly like the snake necklace I had and then there was a matching ring. I smiled, I loved them. I looked at Thomas. That's really sweet. I told him in my mind he just nodded. 

Next Theodore gave his gifts to us, I wondered what he could have gotten me. There were two things: a small bottle of firewhisky and then a silver chain necklace with Emeralds hanging every other chain link in the front then in the middle there was an emerald eagle. I glared at him for the firewhisky. 

Mattheo gave his gifts. The first thing was a green and blue leather diary. I opened it up to see a small letter from Mattheo and a drawing, he was really good at drawing. The second was a silver pen that would write in every color and had an emerald snake on the side, everyone was getting me emeralds. 

It was finally my turn. I grabbed the bag and gave everyone there gifts. Mattheo got a black dagger with crimson accents in the blade and the handle was made of black and dark green leather. He looked up and at me half confused as to why I was giving him a weapon. I will explain later. I told him through the link. Thomas got a ring that looked similar to the one he gave me only the snake looked like it was wrapped all the way around the ring and it had one eye that was crimson and the other that was a dark brown color, it was meant to reflect his eyes. He caught on quickly to that fact, by either reading my mind or just knowing. Theodore got two things because one of them I found last minute and thought about him. The first was a silver watch with three emeralds on the 12, 3, 6, and 9 a black leather band. The second was a book I had read before, it was fictional which I knew he rarely read but like I said, he needed new hobbies and I thought he would like the book, plus it was part of a series. 

“Where did you get this?” Mattheo asked “I love it” 

“I’ll never tell but all the gifts are customized for you” 

“Thank you” Thomas smiled 

“Your welcome” I replied “I’m going to send some gifts to friends, be right back” I left and headed to the owlery and gave the small gifts to the two owls our family shared then told them who the gifts were for and they took off flying. 

As I was walking back to the common room I heard three boys talking, almost shouting at each other. I turned the corner and saw Thomas standing a distance away from two other boys, they were arguing. 

Thomas must have seen me coming up behind him “I don’t need help, you should go back to the common room” I told her. While Thomas was distracted I heard one of whisper something and wave there wand at Thomas 

“Thomas look out” I called but the spell had already hit him. He fell to the floor in pain. I could tell what spell they had used. I waved my hands and the two boys flew against the wall, I probably gave them concussions but I didn’t care. As I bent down to the floor I could feel another person behind me, I turned and they hit me with the same spell the others had used then threw me against the wall and punched Thomas in the face. The man got up and ran away. I looked over at Thomas and gagged when I saw the blood, his face was covered in it and the man was on the floor with blood as well. I looked away. Mattheo I need help I tried to tell him, there was no way I was going to be able to help Thomas in the state that I was in plus the blood.   

A few moments later I saw him coming down the hallway. He looked from Thomas who was in the middle of the wallway to me and came over to me. He called for Theodore who appeared, running to him in 30 seconds. “Theodore help Y/n, I will deal with Thomas” He ordered. 

Theodore sat down next to me “Are you ok?”

“Does it look like I’m ok?” 

He laughed and took his shirt off and I looked away. He started cleaning off the blood with the shirt then he had to clean my face so I closed my eyes. “What, you don’t want to see me shirtless?” 

“Not particularly” I replied, still keeping my eyes closed. A second later he stopped “Done” 

“Do you have your shirt back on now?” I asked 

“No, it’s covered in blood,” He replied. I opened my eyes and looked over at Thomas and Mattheo, there was still blood so I looked away. 

Once Mattheo was done, he and Theodore carried Thomas over to the wall next to me “How do you feel?” Mattheo asked 

“Sore” I replied. He waved his wand and it went away.

“Now?” He asked 

“Fine” He gave me his hand and I grabbed it and he pulled me up

“So what exactly happened here?” Theodore questioned and I explained what happened 

“I don’t think Thomas is going to be up soon so how are we going to get him back to the dorm?” 

“Mattheo did you forget I can make people fly into walls, if I can do that then I can make him levitate to the common room” I rolled my eyes. 

After we did that we went to grab lunch then Mattheo and I decided to go looking for the man from earlier.
