I sat down across from Mattheo and Thomas sat next to me, across from Theodore “Where did you go this morning” Mattheo asked while eating bread. Thomas glared at Mattheo for talking while eating.

“I was out shopping” I replied “Are you going to eat your bacon?” I asked, eyeing it, I knew he didn’t always like bacon and everyone only got two pieces of bacon. 

  “You can have them,” He replied. I took them from him. 

“Did you get those earrings?” Theodore asked. 

  I looked over at him “Yes” I replied 

“What about your necklace?” 

Thomas and Mattheo glanced at my necklace “No” 

“I haven’t seen you wear that in ages,” Thomas commented. I looked down at it and played with it in my hands and smiled. I remember he was there when I found the necklace in a shop. Father didn’t want to buy it so Thomas secretly bought it. Whenever I wore it at home I tucked it under my shirt in case my father saw me. Thomas smiled at me, probably having been reading my mind, his eyes were green and Mattheo’s weren't. I didn’t know why I did it but I threw a piece of my toast at him, I didn’t have a book to hit him with. The toast hit him in the face and fell into his lap, his eyes turned back to their usual color and he picked up the piece of toast and ate it, smiling. Mattheo and Theodore just stared at us confused though Mattheo seemed more entertained, Theodore was the one who seemed confused. 

When we finished eating I headed off to the library with Theodore and my brothers went off to do something else. “What do you think they are doing?” Theodore asked 

“I have no clue, and I don’t want to know” We continued making our way to the library and when we got there I found a couple of books then sat down with Theodore.

After a little while Theodore whispered something to me “The mean girl is looking at you” I looked up to see Cora walking our way. She stopped at our table “Hello Y/n” she greeted 

“What do you want?” I asked 

“I want to know if the rumors are true, did you kill the person who was killing all the students?” I covered my face with my hand and bit my lip. I seriously want to kill her.

“Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t, if you don’t leave maybe I will kill you” 

She gasped dramatically “Are you threatening me?” She put her hand to her chest

“Yes” I said blankly “Now leave me alone” I got up and left the library, Theodore following me. I wanted to scream or punch something, I think I understand now why Mattheo punched the people he got mad at, I bet it felt good. 

“Where do you want to go now?” He asked 

“Astronomy tower?” 

“Sure” 

We walked over to the astronomy tower and I took a deep breath as the chilly December air greeted me once again. I walked over to where I could see the castle grounds and Theodore joined me. “Excited for Christmas?” He asked 

“Yeah, it was never that big of a deal at home though, I rarely ever got gifts from my parents and my brothers probably gave me one every other year” I explained

“That doesn’t sound like fun” He replied

“No, what was Christmas like for you, before coming to Hogwarts?” 

“Quiet, my mom died when I was young and my father tried to get me one or two presents a year but he was always preoccupied with other things” 

“I’m sorry about your mom, what does your dad do?” 

“He’s a Death Eater”
