(Thomas’s pov)

I was looking at Y/n, my beautiful, smart, and sassy sister. “Do you know what house the person who killed her is in? Or if they are even a student” she asked

“They are a student, I know that for certain, and I am guessing it’s either a Ravenclaw or most likely a Slytherin because no one from our houses have been killed yet” 

“Just because they haven’t killed someone in Ravenclaw or Slytherin doesn’t mean they are from one of those houses, sometimes the people you hate the most could be in your own house” Y/n countered 

“True” He replied “But I don’t think a Hufflepuff would kill anyone” 

“Anyone can kill anyone if they want” 

Theodore and Mattheo looked concerned, I gave a small smile at their expressions. None of them noticed it except Y/n, she smiled too.

Just then a professor came into the library and told everyone to go back to there common rooms and make sure they went in groups of three if they could then they came over to us, I thought about Y/n she didn’t have anyone else from her house here, I could take her back to her common room “Professor, I can take Y/n back to the the Ravenclaw common room if you want” I offered 

“If it’s all right with Y/n I would prefer her to stay the night in the Slythern common room, plus she will be with you guys and she will be safer” 

She looked down “Yeah, I’m fine with that, but can you tell us what happened?” She looked back up

“It’s of no concern to you” 

“No concern?” She asked “If it’s about the students being killed, we deserve to know. Plus this situation seems serious, I would like to know” 

“You're not going to let it go are you?” 

“What can I say? I’m a Ravenclaw and a Riddle” Y/n put her hands up “So what’s going on?”

“8 students have died, 4 last night and 4 tonight. A girl and boy from each house” 

Y/n nodded her head and the Professor walked away. The look on Y/n’s face was different then I would have thought, I wondered what she was thinking. I could find out if I wanted to. Mattheo, Y/n, and I have a connection, we can read each other's thoughts, feelings, and we also could talk to each other through our minds whenever we wanted. Though it has its weaknesses, you could block your mind off from the others and your eyes would glow a green which could be seen by everyone which made it distracting. I looked at Mattheo who was halfway across the room now talking to some other Slytherins. Y/n was staring into space with the same face from moments before, I tried to see what she was thinking. A boy and a girl from every house, 4 and 4… 8. I have to admit it's symmetrical, I wonder how Indu’s doing… Thomas  Y/n glared at me. I stopped and her eyes returned to the hazil they were normally 

“Come on let’s go, you get to see the Slytherin common room” I stood up and Y/n followed. Mattheo saw us get up and came over with Theodore and we headed out of the library. The hallways were dark and seemed abandoned, it made the castle seem older than it was, it reminded me of home, Hogwarts was my home away from home.

Y/n and I took the lead and Mattheo and Theo followed a little behind. Just as we were about to turn a corner she put her hand in front of me, telling me to stop. I heard something, someone, two people? Her voice filled my mind and she tilted her head. I looked back at Mattheo, he had stopped. When he saw my eyes on him he nodded his head as if to say he had heard what Y/n had said in her mind as well, we could all talk to each other at the same time if we wanted but Theo had no idea what was going on except that he knew we were talking in our heads. We heard a scream then Y/n made a rock float and threw it at a wall to scare the person away, or did she want to attract them to us? As expected I heard footsteps going away from us. I’m going to go check, Thomas, what to come with me? Mattheo stay here, Y/n’s voice was in my head again. Of course I will go with you, there's no way you're going alone, I replied in my mind. Why do I have to stay here Mattheo asked in his mind. Someone needs to stay with Theo, and you'll be fine Y/n commented. 

We turned the corner and saw the girl crumpled into a ball, Y/n Immediately ran to her.

“Indu?” She asked quietly, lowering herself to to the ground 

She poked her head out and looked at Y/n “Y/n?” She asked

“It’s me, what are you doing?” 

“I was looking for you, I was worried about you” Indu explained 

I walked up to Y/n and noticed Indu’s lip was bleeding, Y/n had noticed this too. “Do you mind?” Y/n asked pointing to Indu’s lip “Can I heal it?”

Indu nodded and Y/n put her finger on her lip and it was healed. Then she took her robes and wiped the blood off. 

I went and grabbed mattheo and let the girls have a second alone. When I came back Indu was on her feet and they were hugging. When Y/n sensed I was back she pulled away.

“Indu can come with us, I’m sure professor would understand”

“I can take her to the hospital wing if you want” a voice came around the corner “I feel like she would feel more comfortable there” It was the Herbology professor. Indu looked at Y/n as if asking permission, Y/n nodded her head and Indu left. 

“We should get going, they are probably wondering where we are” Mattheo chimed in

So we all went to the dungeons and soon we were in the slytherin common room. Where am I supposed to sleep? Y/n asked in her mind Me and Mattheo have a private dorm, there is an extra bed if you want, or you can sleep with the other first year girls I replied I guess I will take you up on you offer for the private room  

“Where have you been?” The professor asks “We all have been waiting” His tone was harsh but I was used to it, I had been hearing it for years now. 

All of Slytherin was in the main common room, gathered, the professor had an announcement “Until we find who did this, there will be no classes but meals will still be served and the library and some other more public places are still open but you are to always be in at least groups of three. Thank you and goodnight” 

This just sounds like when dad tells us about the time he opened the Chamber of Secrets and the school nearly shut down Mattheo commented to me and Y/n

Professor walked over to us and looked at Y/n “Your welcome to stay here as long as you want if you feel safer here or you can go in between as you wish, you can share a room with your brothers or stay with the other first years” He nodded then walked away. That was the nicest I had ever seen him.
