Traitor or Not?
Chapter 68
Amelia flew back to Hogwarts with Draco on her back, she dropped him on the floor and flew to Dumbledore’s office.
‘Why’d you leave them?’ asked Draco, catching up.
‘I’m getting Dumbledore! And you were really injured! Look at yourself! You couldn’t have stayed there any longer!’ she shouted in anger.
Draco stayed silent for the rest of the way. When they reached the ground, it was already daytime. They had stayed awake the whole night.
‘Thanks by the way…’ Draco said as they reached Dumbledore’s office.
‘No problem,’ Amelia said with a quick smile on her face.
‘What’s the new password?’ Amelia asked herself.
‘Oh! I know: The Dark Lord!’
‘Seriously?’
They entered the office to see Dumbledore stroking Fawkes.
‘Ah, you’re back, where are the others?’ Dumbledore asked.
‘Th-they are-’ Amelia hesitated.
‘You left them in Azkaban?’
‘She saved me! And she came to get you,’ Draco said, glaring at Dumbledore.
‘Well in that case-’ began Dumbledore.
‘DRAGON APPROACHING! HELP, A DRAGON IS GOING TO ATTACK THE SCHOOL!’ cried some students from outside.
The red dragon had a unicorn on its back. Snape and some teachers drew their wands to the creatures.
‘NO!’ Albert had yelled; he saw the green eyes of the dragon looking directly at him.
‘NO! These are my f-friends!’ Amelia shouted.
Snape, who clearly ignored what Amelia and Albert said, had hexed the dragon, making it ooze green blood. The dragon roared as it transformed back to Olivia, who was shaking and was bleeding badly.
‘Ms. Dragonheart?’ Snape stared at Olivia. ‘I-I... How is she an animagus?’ he asked, turning to the other teachers.
They shrugged, quickly approaching Olivia.
Amelia transformed to the phoenix and she flew to Olivia. Tears started forming in her eyes and she quickly healed Olivia.
The unicorn carried the unconscious Olivia (with her horn) to the hospital wing, with Albert following her.
‘HOW DARE YOU?’ yelled Isabell (as a human, she transformed back) at Amelia as she came back from the hospital wing. ‘How dare you leave us in that horrible place! WE WERE FOLLOWED BY MILLIONS OF DEMENTORS OVER THERE! A-AND-’
‘I went to get help! You only came to save him because you wanted to turn into your animagus! You don’t even care about him!’ cried Amelia, interrupting Isabell. ‘How do you expect me to fight millions of Dementors?’
Isabell was speechless, it was true she didn’t care about Draco, but she wouldn’t tell that to Amelia. She stood still as hundreds of students were watching them very closely and clearly interested.
‘Now, now, everyone go to breakfast,’ Dumbledore interrupted.
Amelia ran away with tears emerging from her eyes. It was clear that she was embarrassed.
Isabell had explained to Dumbledore what had happened from the beginning when Amelia left them behind, and until she used the Patronus charm correctly and drove the Dementors away. She also mentioned that she used her magic to repair the building and no prisoner escaped.
‘Well done Ms. Bluesky,’ Dumbledore said, nodding and making Isabell proud. ‘I also think that you and Mr. Malfoy should go to Ms. Clearwater to comfort her.’
‘Y-yes sir.’
It was the end of the day when Isabell was approaching Amelia in the Dormitory.
‘It’s ok… we all made it out safely…’ Isabell said.
‘Leave me alone. I’m not in the mood to talk to you!’
‘Draco wanted to enter the dormitory,’ she laughed, ignoring Amelia.
‘H-he did?’
‘Yeah, sure,’ grinned Isabell.
‘Woah,’ Amelia shook her head.
‘Yup, it’s true.’
‘Can I go check on Olivia?’
‘Sure you can,’ Isabell said as Amelia headed to the Hospital Wing.
‘She’ll kill me…’
‘I talked to her, and I told her everything. Not too sure if she fully forgave you.’
Amelia exited the Common Room and rushed towards the Hospital Wing, quickly greeting professors that she passed by. She entered the room and found Olivia eating her breakfast which was beans on toast with milk.
‘How’s your health, Dragon?’ Amelia joked, nudging Olivia’s arm.
‘Good,’ Olivia said stiffly, she still seemed angry at Amelia.
‘Really?’
‘Leave me alone or I will turn into a dragon and eat you,’ Olivia said seriously as she stroked her messy hair.
‘Ok, ok!’ laughed Amelia. ‘But I think I would taste disgusting don’t ya think?’
‘I said... leave... me... alone…’
‘I thought Isabell explained to you! Look, if you’re still mad then I will explain, just don’t eat me when I’m explaining, ok?’
‘F-fine.’
‘Look, I didn’t leave because I was scared or anything. And not because I wanted to help Draco either. It was because the Dementors reminded me of my mother. I would hear her voice every time I felt the Dementor’s chill. I would hear her last words to me. That’s all.’
‘I- I believe you. I’m sorry… I also understand why you wanted to save him-’
Olivia slowly smirked.
‘Shut up,’ Amelia said, rolling her eyes. ‘He’s only a friend! Anyways, hope you get well. Albert seemed to care a lot about you. Tests are coming soon by the way…’ she said, trying to get back at Olivia.
‘WHAT?’ Olivia yelled, clearly ignoring what Amelia had said about Albert.
‘Yeah, you didn’t know?’ Amelia teased. ‘Everyone knows.’
‘I DIDN’T STUDY! IF I GET A WRONG QUESTION I MIGHT FAIL AND BE A LOST CAUSE AND LIVE IN A GARBAGE BIN FOR THE REST OF MY L-’
‘Relax, we have a month to study-’
‘A MONTH ISN’T ENOUGH!’
‘Wow! I never knew you were that serious about test marks.’
‘Now go ‘cause I need to go to bed or Madam Pomfrey will be mad,’ said Olivia, looking in every direction except Amelia’s.
‘Oh… good night!’
‘G’night.’
