Amelia, Isabell and Olivia left the Room of Requirement and headed to the Ravenclaw common room.

‘I need to know what to say to Dumbledore before I go. I don’t want to look like I’m lying and lose my words again,’ said Amelia, thinking hard at one of the many desks at the side of the room. ‘So… what should I say? Got any ideas?’ she asked, looking back to see Isabell and Olivia playing wizards chess.

‘Um… I don’t know… maybe… the truth?’ smirked Isabell. ‘Ok ok, I’ll be serious now!’ she said as she saw the dangerous look Olivia had.

‘Maybe you should… write it down! So you don’t forget,’ said Olivia, looking at Amelia as she thought for more ideas.

‘Oh! I know! You can start from the beginning! Like… from when your father started telling you about it. Be sure that you tell him who you joined first though. Then… at the hospital! When the Malfoys told you what your parents decided. You know, about not going to Hogwarts again. Then you can go on,’ said Isabell, really loudly, looking proud.

‘KEEP IT DOWN!’ Amelia whisper-shouted.

‘Ok ok… but is it a good idea?’

‘Yeah, thanks.’

Amelia started writing what she would say on a piece of paper:

It’s a long story… You see, my father has been trying to convince me to join You-Know-Who for a while and I’ve been trying my best to resist and convince him that I’ll never join him. When I went to the Malfoys for Christmas, Draco said he’ll be joining him and wanted to know if I will too. I told him that I would never and I asked him why he’s been so mean to everyone at school. He was about to reply but then his mum came in and said to let me sleep. After a while, Isabell and Olivia arrived at the window in a flying car and I went to Isabell’s house. When I arrived, I heard that Isabell had planned a giant party and she invited a lot of people. Mrs. Bluesky and Mrs. Weasley cooked dinner and we had to dress up. There was a gift that arrived when we were playing with Isabell’s little brother, Ivan, and  it was muffins. I took one first and got poisoned. Later on, I found out that it was sent from my stepmom. My father poisoned them and tried to target the Bluesky’s but instead, he got me. Luckily, my friends got a bezoar for me and I managed to survive. The adult’s there took me to St Mungo’s and Isabell gave me a gift. I really loved it but then the Malfoys came in. They told me that I have to get into Slytherin and join You-Know-Who to go back to Hogwarts. Otherwise I would never attend here ever again. I didn’t know that I would have to unfriend Isabell and Olivia that way. I had to become very rude to everyone and I also had to throw the gift Isabell gave me on the floor to join You-Know-Who. Doing all this made me feel very bad but I had no option. And anyways, he hasn’t been spotted for years so I didn’t officially join him yet. I wasn’t really happy with my decision afterwards. Actually, not happy at all. I was only mean when the Slytherins were around, but they were around almost every time. I was only mean once or twice without the Slytherins being around. The only person I liked to visit and hang out with, without being forced to and not to, was Hagrid. I explained to him everything. When I saw Olivia falling during her Quidditch match, I grabbed the speed potion on Professor Snape’s desk and flew out to save her. I had to… it felt like the right thing to do. Before all that, I had told Albert, Harry, Ron and Hermione that I’d joined You-Know-Who when we visited Hagrid. And then I realised that I should have never been mean or even practised joining You-Know-Who. Then when we were in your lesson, and well… you know the rest.

‘Hey! Time to go! 5 minutes left!’ said Isabell, looking at what Amelia wrote and going through it quickly, not really reading every word. ‘Wait! Your stepmother accidentally poisoned you? I thought it was from some stranger!’

‘Yeah… the Malfoys told me later on,’ she replied, looking at her feet. ‘ Anyways, gotta go!’ 

‘Ok, good luck!’ said Olivia to Amelia as she (Amelia) got up.

Amelia went to Dumbledore’s office on a run but when she knocked and came in, Dumbledore wasn’t there…
