Best Christmas Ever - BCE
Chapter 41
Being driven safely by Isabell, they reached a Mansion blue in colour.
‘This is the mansion I wanted. Dad got it on Christmas, remember I told you?’ asked Isabell.
‘Yeah,’ said Amelia.
‘Everything you own is blue,’ Olivia said, admiring the grand mansion.
‘Yeah, we are now quite rich, because dad is in really high ranks at the Ministry right now. Well, not that high. He’s still not in contact with the Minister. Anyways, I sent a letter to dad, I made Mocha fly here.’
‘I FORGOT BIANCA!’
‘Oh, look! She's here!’ Olivia said as she pointed at a blurred looking creature that was white.
‘Sorry Bia- OUCH!’
Bianca had bitten Amelia’s finger.
‘Guess that’s a way to teach you not to forget her,’ Isabell laughed.
‘Oh, shut up already and let’s go in,’ Amelia said, blowing at her slightly bleeding finger.
Isabell landed softly in a fine looking garage and knocked on the front door, which was made out of blue marble.
‘Ah, you’re here! Glad you made it safely,’ said a gentle voice as the door opened to show a tall man, with wavy pitch black hair and wide, brown eyes.
‘Hello dad!’ said Isabell cheerfully as she hugged Mr. Bluesky tightly.
‘Hi Izzy.’
‘This is Olivia (she pointed at Olivia, who was examining Mr. Bluesky carefully) and this is Amelia (she pointed at a smiling Amelia).’
‘Hello Olivia and Amelia, come in, it is quite cold outside.’
They entered a room with all the shades of blue you would know.
‘You really like the colour blue!’ exclaimed Amelia as she admired the dark blue walls filled with light blue clouds.
‘Of course we do! And let me show you something! Look at the ceiling.’
They saw the ceiling, it was open.
‘An open ceiling, but what if it rains?’ asked Olivia, raising her eyebrows.
‘This ceiling is like the ceiling at Hogwarts, it is a very difficult piece of magic, but I got there in the end!’ said Mr. Bluesky proudly.
‘That’s why you were in Ravenclaw Mr. Bluesky!’ Amelia complimented.
‘Thanks! You’re too kind,’ he said as he entered another room.
‘The sky’s blue too! Bluesky!’ laughed Olivia.
They all approached a beautiful, young woman, who had long, straight brown hair and blue eyes. She looked like the older version of Isabell but with frost-blue eyes and much straighter hair. She was holding a blanket (blue in colour of course).
‘Ah, those must be your friends,’ she said.
Olivia and Amelia knew it was Mrs. Bluesky, because Isabell gave a brief explanation about her.
‘Mum!’ Isabell blurted out happily.
Isabell and Mrs. Bluesky hugged each other tightly.
‘I missed you so much, sweetie.’
‘Same.’
‘Hello! Olivia, Amelia!’ said an excited voice.
‘Albert?’ they both said, shocked.
‘I thought you were staying at Hogwarts?’ Olivia said, surprised.
‘No. I mean yes. I mean no- well, I was. But Isabell invited me to the party, and here I am!’
‘Are there other people?’ Olivia asked, looking at Albert.
‘Yes, a few, Harry Potter, Ron and his family and Hermione Granger.’
‘A few? Ron has 5 brothers and 1 sister!’ Amelia said, looking alarmed.
‘I know, not all of them are coming though, but mum said it would be kinder if I invited all of them,’ shrugged Isabell.
‘Who else did you invite?’ said Olivia curiously.
‘The Ravenclaw team.’
‘You mean Roger, Cho and the rest are here? We could review what we will do in training after the holidays!’ Amelia said excitedly as she rushed to find them.
‘No, they didn’t come yet,’ explained Isabell. ‘Only Albert came, right mum?’
‘Yes. Only Albert came, so far.’
Unexpectedly, a barn owl swooped in, an envelope attached to his leg.
‘Must be from one of the replies,’ Mr. Bluesky said as he opened the envelope and began to read the letter aloud:
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Bluesky,
We will come late due to some issues. So, we might arrive after a while.
Merry Christmas!
Thank you,
This letter is from the Ravenclaw team, originally written by Roger Davies.
‘They’re coming late, but still, they’ll come,’ said Isabell cheerfully.
‘Oh, hello girls!’ called out Hermione Granger as she appeared with Albert.
‘Hi,’ they all replied.
‘Your house is quite nice,’ she said, admiring the place.
‘Yes,’ agreed Olivia and Amelia.
‘Thanks!’ said Isabell, smiling.
After ten minutes or so, there was a big knock on the door, and Mr. Bluesky opened the door. Figures were revealed above the snow. They were the Ravenclaw team.
‘Hello,’ they all said.
‘Ah, there you are!’ Mr. Bluesky said as he beckoned them to enter the mansion.
After a while, the Weasley family, along with Harry Potter, arrived.
‘Hello Riley, Emma… I’m so sorry.... Arthur couldn’t come, work at the Ministry,’ said a plump woman (she was wearing red for the occasion) who was called Molly Weasley, and she was Ron’s mother.
‘It’s alright,’ said Mrs. Bluesky as she shook hands with the family.
‘Is little Ivan alright?’ asked Mrs. Weasley. ‘I hope he’s a wizard.’
‘Excuse me?’ Mrs. Bluesky looked offended.
‘Oh, I didn’t mean that, Emma!’ said a flustered Mrs. Weasley.
‘I think we better go and dress up, they are having a motherly conversation,’ Isabell muttered.
‘More like a motherly argument,’ Amelia whispered.
‘Yeah, let’s go,’ Oliva breathed.
‘Girls changing rooms upstairs to the right, boys, same to the left,’ Mr. Bluesky instructed them as though he overheard their conversation.
The boys went with Mr. Bluesky to change their clothes on the left side of the mansion, while the girls headed to the right.
‘Wow! This place is so cool!’ exclaimed Olivia.
‘I know!’ agreed Amelia.
They reached a large room with small changing rooms for each of them.
Ginny, (Ron’s sister) Hermione, Cho and the three girls changed into their most desired dresses. All were dressed in red, white and green. Isabell, on the other hand, wore blue.
‘You… look… AMAZING!’ said Hermione and Isabell, looking at each other.
Olivia had just finished changing, her hair tied in a high, accurate bun, her long bangs curled up and her cheeks were rosier than ever. She was wearing a dress which had red and white stripes like a candy cane, it had ruffled sleeves that were under her shoulders. The dress reached her knees and she wore emerald green glass heels. It seemed as though she sparkled.
‘You look amazing Olivia,’ all the girls exclaimed.
Olivia did a funny curtsey. The girls laughed in amusement.
After she had finished dressing up, Amelia looked as beautiful as Olivia. She was wearing a sparkly green, ruffled, sequined dress, with red bows at the side of her shoulders. The dress also reached her knees. Her hair started as a braid from the top left but the rest of her hair was down. She was wearing red shoes that had holes for her toes. Her light blue eyes were shining with the glimmer of her green dress.
‘Woah, you look marvellous, Amelia!’ the girls exclaimed, they loved all their and the others’ outfits.
Isabell was wearing a sparkly sky blue dress that reached just before her ankles, and was wearing cute blue heels. She also had some red, white and green at the tip of her long sleeves and she was wearing a bright blue bow in her hair, which was as a high ponytail.
‘You look spectacular Isabell!’ they all said, again.
‘We all look wonderful!’ exclaimed Isabell.
Hermione was wearing a red, ruffled dress that reached just before her ankles. She was wearing cute, thin white boots. Her hair was braided and the bushy hair she had before was gone. Cho, however, was wearing a pure white dress that reached just under her knees. Her long, straight and black hair was tied back into a messy bun and had a single green bowtie. She wore matching white heels. And finally Ginny. She was wearing a ruffled green dress that had long sleeves. Her ginger-red hair (which was down) had a white hair clip on it. She was also wearing red sandals.
When all the girls were satisfied with their outfits, they went to the party. Albert told them that there were a lot of food choices for supper, such as: Beef and mushrooms with mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, chicken pot pie, broccoli chicken casserole, meatloaf and chicken vegetable stew. It was similar to a small feast. Albert said that all the boys were gathered around the tables of the food Mrs. Bluesky made, and tried to dig in but they were told to wait for the girls first.
‘Ladies first!’ grinned Amelia.
‘Exactly!’ said Olivia, while all the girls started walking down the stairs.
They were halfway through the stairs when Isabell’s face turned from a smile to a surprised and shocked one.
‘Just a second,’ said Isabell suddenly.
‘What?’ teased Amelia. ‘You never miss food!’
‘I think I forgot something back there,’ said Isabell.
‘What did you forget?’ asked Olivia.
‘Never mind that, I’ll just go put it in my room,’ replied Isabell.
‘Wonder what she’s up to,’ whispered Amelia to Olivia.
