The Letter
Chapter 35
A match between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor took place on November the 3rd. The next match was Ravenclaw versus Gryffindor on the 20th of November. Isabell didn’t watch any of Amelia’s training, only Olivia and Albert. The Ravenclaw team were training very hard, because Gryffindor were exceptionally good. The beaters improved so much. Amelia remained in her excellence of catching the golden snitch.
‘We could win, you did very well!’ Olivia said as she high-fived a tired but proud Amelia.
‘Gryffindor has Harry Potter! He’s much better than me!’
‘If we lose, Gryffindor will be against Slytherin, if Slytherin wins, we go against them I think,’ Albert said, looking at the team, who were holding their brooms and looking proud. ‘No wait, Slytherin will go against Hufflepuff, if Slytherin loses, we go against Hufflepuff.’
‘Even if, Roger wants us to really win!’
‘Well, that’s why we train very hard!’ Roger said, it seemed he was listening to their conversation.
Olivia and Amelia grinned as they headed off to the changing rooms.
‘Wait here,’ Amelia said.
‘Sure.’
After Amelia got dressed in her school black robes, they headed off to their Dormitory. There they came to Isabell, who was holding a letter.
‘I feel a bit sad without Isabell,’ said Olivia, glaring at her.
‘I have a letter for you guys, if you want to… you know, read it,’ Isabell said gloomily as she handed Olivia the letter.
‘Thanks I guess,’ Amelia muttered as she opened the letter
The letter was from Mr. Bluesky:
Dear Olivia and Amelia,
I am pleased to inform you that Isabell has invited you to join us for Christmas! She has also told me that she accidentally mentioned your parent's death Olivia, and she didn’t mean it at all. We all know that it was a great loss as the Dragonhearts were a strong and kind family, and Isabell had been very worried about Mrs. Bluesky, I hope you will understand Olivia. Also, Amelia, if your parents disagree, then I have a plan that could be dangerous. I can't risk you not having fun with your best friends. But, I can’t say what the thing is because the owl could be intercepted by the Ministry.
Thank you!
Love,
Riley Bluesky
Olivia glared at Isabell then the letter, then she attacked Isabell and gave her a rib-breaking hug.
‘It’s ok, I forgive you, but why make your father get in our business?’
Isabell didn’t reply.
‘I’m not invisible you know!’ said Amelia, grinning. ‘How come you get to become friends again?’
‘Amelia, I am her friend again because I see in her eyes she suffered from crying in her bed every single night, she has suffered loneliness, I forgive her, and so should you Amelia, besides, you need guys to cheer you on in the match!’
‘It’s not my fault, is it?’ said Amelia. ‘I already forgave her a long time ago, we’ve actually been hanging out together, that’s why her father didn’t mention me when he said she didn’t mean to say anything about your parent’s death.’
‘So you don’t care about my parents either? Just forgiving her when she said my parents were- you know…’ Olivia said angrily. ‘So much for amazing friendships.’
She started to get up. Amelia grabbed Olivia’s wrist with enormous strength for her age, making Olivia collapse on the floor. Olivia stared in great surprise at Amelia while straightening herself.
‘Now listen here Olivia... I can be friends with anyone I want. Even if I become friends with Draco, which I already am, or whatever, it isn’t your business.’
‘Fine. You know what? I am not coming to the stupid Christmas party you are having, I prefer staying here with Helena and Hagrid. Oh, and Albert, he’s staying here for the celebrations anyways.’
‘I said it isn’t my fault! She explained to me that she didn’t mean to say anything bad about your parents!’ said Amelia furiously.
‘You really need to see death to know how I feel everyday,’ Olivia muttered as Twilight sat on her lap, wanting to be stroked.
‘Oh yeah? Well, your parents aren’t d- I mean- Forgot that my mother is dead too?’
Olivia sighed and stared at Twilight.
‘Well, you never had a true Christmas, please come, just sit in the corner at least,’ Isabell said, trying to make Olivia happy, but it backfired on her.
‘JUST SIT IN THE CORNER?’ Olivia said. ‘OH, I GUESS THAT’S HOW YOU MAKE YOUR GUESTS HAVE FUN!’
‘Olivia, you’re always making a big deal out of everything, and Isabell, well, think before you talk!’ Amelia said.
‘I ONLY MEANT AT LEAST JUST COME OVER! YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING!’ shouted Isabell.
‘I-I-who said- do I really make a big deal out of everything?’
‘Well…’ started Isabell.
‘Hi there!’ said a familiar voice
The girls looked up and saw that it was Albert carrying some books.
‘Sorry, I just went to the library,’ he continued, apparently haven’t heard the big argument. ‘I wanted to see how you’re doing. Need any help with anything?’
‘Um yeah, I wanted to know, what’s the best book for learning about all the history of Hogwarts?’ asked Isabell curiously, trying to change the subject.
‘Hogwarts: A History, of course! Wait, I think I have it here. I can let you borrow it for a while but please don’t forget to return it by next Monday, ok?’ said Albert as he started looking through the books in his hand.
‘Sure!’
‘I’m headed back to the boy’s dormitories, good night,’ he said cheerfully.
‘Good night.’
