Chapter 30
The girls finished all their classes (starting from then, with Herbology, and ending with double charms which they really liked since they got extra practice on the spell they were learning) and headed to their dormitories.
‘We should sleep early. Remember I have quidditch practise tomorrow,’ said Amelia excitedly. ‘Will you come?’
‘If you’ll allow us to,’ replied Olivia.
‘Well, of course I would let you see the practice!’
‘Oh, good,’ yawned Isabell.
They all headed to their beds after Isabell and Olivia read some books. Amelia didn’t want to read, so she just practised some spells.
The girls woke up the next day to the noise of hooting owls. Sunlight shone through the windows. They were barely the first to wake up on a very exciting day.
‘I… am… so (yawn) excited,’ said Amelia.
‘Same,’ Olivia said weakly.
They all went to eat breakfast in the Great Hall, but Isabell had to do something and so missed breakfast. The team captain, Roger Davies, approached Amelia as she was eating pancakes with maple syrup. He had straight brown hair that reached his ears and dark blue eyes.
‘Hello, Roger,’ she said.
‘Good morning, did you get my letter?’ he asked.
‘Yes, I’m also taking my friends,’ Amelia replied. ‘Is that ok?’
‘Ok, as long as they’re in Ravenclaw,’ whispered Roger. ‘We don’t want any spies!’
‘They are in Ravenclaw.’
‘Good, the whole team will meet today in the Quidditch pitch, ok? You probably already know that.’
‘Yeah, ok,’ said Amelia.
‘See you in twenty minutes!’
Roger then walked away to sit next to his friends.
Amelia stared at where Roger went, then looked at the excited Olivia. Isabell came back with a letter in her hand.
‘It’s from my father,’ said Isabell grievously. ‘He writes to me more often than usual, because of mom…’
‘Let’s open it later, we are going to be late!’ Olivia said worriedly.
‘I think we should go now,’ Amelia insisted.
‘B-but, I’m not finished eating the waffle you saved for me!’ Isabell groaned.
‘Come on,’ Amelia said as she grabbed Isabell's wrist.
