Chapter 3
Olivia sat in her room wondering what was going to happen next, and who this letter came from. She wondered if it was a prank of any sort (if it was, she would be stuck here). She wondered what the school would be like and what they would teach there. She wondered how she would get there and how she would get the items necessary. And what about the uniform? All of that bothered her, but the thing that mostly filled her with curiosity was: she didn’t have any magical abilities. How was she accepted? Thoughts swirled in her head. She then got out a book to read. She kept reading until a giant figure appeared through the window.
It was the largest human being she had ever seen; he had a long bushy beard and a hairy head. Maybe he wasn’t even a human. Olivia grabbed her blanket and curled herself in her bed. What was that? It wasn’t a normal human being, that was one thing. The “person” started to grab the window handle and slowly lift it. As each second passed by, she curled herself tighter until she couldn’t go any tighter. The window fully opened and she could see that there was a large man outside her bedroom. Olivia had no idea why he came. Was he going to kidnap her? Was he here to help her? Did he have anything to do with the letter she recently got? The figure started climbing through the window. He could barely fit. Finally he said: ‘Ar yeh gonna help meh or not?’
Olivia was really surprised. Was a kidnapper really going to ask her for help? This was very odd.
‘I said, are yeh goin’ ter help meh or not?’ he asked again.
Olivia was speechless. She had never seen something like this man..
‘Who are you?’ she demanded as she boldly unwrapped herself from the blanket and straightened herself up.
‘Rubeus Hagrid, now will yeh help meh?’ The figure had quite an odd accent. ‘I’m here for Olivia Dragonheart! Ar yeh her? Would a kidnapper really tell someone who they’re lookin’ for?’
‘Yes, I am her... um...o-ok. I’ll unlock the front door.’
Olivia was still shocked.
