The Car Crash
Chapter 14
The next dull looking day, Isabell had packed her bag, stroked Mocha (her new, brown pet owl), and was eating breakfast with her mother and father.
‘I can’t wait to go to Hogwarts!’ Isabell burst out suddenly, accidentally spitting cucumbers on Mocha’s head, who squawked angrily and snapped at her fingers. He continued to glare at Isabell with his orange eyes as he tried to take the cucumbers off.
‘My, my, my! It’s 10:30, we need to go, Isabell, before 11:00, quick! Packed your bag? Good, You have Mocha? Perfect! Hurry up!’ Mrs. Bluesky snapped as she hugged Mr. Bluesky and kissed him on the cheek.
‘Goodbye! Hope you get in Ravenclaw, Izzy!’ Mr. Bluesky smiled as Isabell and her mother exited the house.
‘Bye, dad, good luck at work and see you at Christmas!’ Isabell called out.
She and Mrs. Bluesky took their coats and exited the house, leaving Mr. Bluesky reading the Daily Prophet.
‘How are we going to get to King’s Cross Station?’ asked a puzzled Isabell.
‘Your dad bought a new car last week,’ Mrs. Bluesky boasted happily.
‘Really?’ Isabell exclaimed excitedly.
‘Not just any car, it can turn invisible.’
‘So that Muggles can’t see us!’ Isabell realised.
‘Excuse me, I’m a Muggle, I'll see you!’ said Mrs. Bluesky, though not in an angry tone.
‘Sorry,’ muttered Isabell, embarrassed.
‘Well, I am certainly not offended, but thank you, now come on!’ Mrs. Bluesky expressed, walking faster.
‘Mum, there’s like… thir-fifteen minutes left, oh no!’
‘QUICK!’
Mrs. Bluesky was now running, and so was Isabell. They got in the car, which was dark blue in colour. The windows shined, until it began raining, that was. Mrs. Bluesky hurriedly drove the brand new blue car and set off to King’s cross. Driving through torrential rain was very torturous. The rain thumped on the bonnet and the wind whistled along the curves of the car. The trees were waving frantically in the wind as if to attract the attention of passing cars.
‘Mum, I’m getting car sick,’ Isabell blurted, whose face was extremely pale.
‘OH, NO!’ Mrs. Bluesky exclaimed angrily as the car crashed on a tree. ‘Daddy will be so mad at me!’
‘Mum!’ hissed Isabell as she vomited on the seat. ‘Now is not the time to talk about what dad will think!’
‘You’re right, sorry, here,’ Mrs. Bluesky apologised as she handed Isabell some tissues.
Mrs. Bluesky continued driving even though the car was not fit for a state like that. They finally reached the station. Isabell unfurled from the car like a wrestler entering the ring.
‘See you at Christmas and- OH NO, FIVE MINUTES LEFT, MUM!’ Isabell shouted, already running as fast as her legs could get her to.
‘Ok, I love you, bye! See you at Christmas!’ Mrs. Bluesky said as Isabell rushed and stood between platforms 9 and 10.
How do I go to platform 9 and ¾? thought Isabell, trying to remember.
She spotted the two girls passing through a wall, and so Isabell copied them without thinking about it since she was in a hurry. She zoomed through the wall and tumbled on a piece of parchment, falling hard on the dusty floor.
‘Ouch!’ cried Isabell, holding her leg.
‘Hello, need any help?’
