Ollivander's Shop
Chapter 10
Amelia, with Bianca, was walking towards Mr. Ollivander’s shop for wands. She entered quite cautiously.
‘Hello? Mr. Ollivander?’ Amelia called.
‘Ahh, another Clearwater, I see! I remember your father like it was yesterday! Great man he was… shame he changed… married a crazy woman after your real mother died. Very sad, very sad,’ Mr. Ollivander muttered as he came to his old- fashioned desk. ‘Nevermind, there’s still a whole new generation to come and I know it will be better than this one. Going to Hogwarts this year, dear, I assume?’
‘Yes, I’m going to need a wand please,’ Amelia mumbled, gaping at Ollivander.
Yes, she did agree with everything Mr. Ollivander said, but how could he say it in front of her like that?
Amelia tried a few wands, but none of them seemed to be the right one as Mr. Ollivander kept snatching them away from her the moment her finger brushed against a wand.
‘Ah, 12 inches long, wood from an oak tree and a single phoenix feather. Here you go dear,’ he cooed as he handed Amelia the wand he got from one of the thousands of black boxes.
As she swished the wand, her surroundings glowed. The room looked orange, like the plumage of a brilliant scarlet and gold phoenix. Amelia smiled, as she knew it was the right one.
‘Yes, definitely that one, enjoy your year Ms. Clearwater,’ grinned Mr. Ollivander.
‘Thanks! I hope to see you again Mr. Ollivander, bye!’ Amelia called to him, exiting the shop as she brushed Bianca’s white feathers
