Amelia took off on her broom to find the potions and she came back panting after five minutes.
‘Who-who goes first?’ Amelia asked, holding the 3 potions, one coloured in red and boiling, one orange the colours of the sunset, and another pink with silver glitter-like dots.
‘You go first Amelia.’
Amelia drank the orange potion, she started shivering slightly and turned slightly orange. She grew some majestic feathers, then began to slowly shrink in size and eventually turned into a small phoenix.
‘Amelia!’ shrieked Isabell.
‘Hello,’ the phoenix squawked in a high-pitched voice as she started to fly around them.
Musical cries followed her as she soared above her awed friends.
‘WOW!’ Isabell and Olivia exclaimed.
‘Isabell you try your potion,’ the phoenix said, looking at herself and flying around.
Isabell gulped down the pink and silver potion quickly and started to grow a long horn. She began to grow extra legs and her arms were disappearing. Her tanned skin started turning silver. She then started to transform. She sprouted two extra legs and a horn and was silver in colour with a baby blue mane and tail. Her sparkling, silver horn glowed as if it was casting the lighting spell.
‘HI!’ the unicorn said, neighing slightly.
‘COOL!’ exclaimed Olivia.
‘Your turn Olivia!’ the phoenix said.
‘But what if my potion doesn’t work?’ Olivia said, shaking.
‘I’m sure it will!’
‘I-I can’t d-do this!’ Olivia said, shaking even more and looking pale.
Amelia held the red potion with her miniature claws and put it in Olivia’s hands. She started to drink it slowly. She started to look red as she grew very big and scales were forming. Oliva was growing bigger… and bigger… and bigger… until she was as big as a bus. She had sharp, dark red claws and started to form a dragon head with swirly horns, and her eyes remained emerald green.
‘Will Olivia as a dragon eat us?’ asked the unicorn worriedly.
‘No, I won’t,’ said the dragon in a low, rumbling voice.
‘Ok, good,’ laughed the unicorn.
‘Guys, we don’t have much time, let’s go!’ cried Amelia the phoenix as she started to fly.
‘Wait! I can’t fly!’ Isabell the unicorn said.
‘Isabell, you can ride on my back,’ said Olivia the dragon.
‘O-ok,’ Isabell said as she rested on the dragon’s rough back which was covered in shiny red scales.
Amelia led the way since she had been to Azkaban with her father before to visit the Death Eaters. Out of nowhere, when they had flown for twenty minutes, a weird creature appeared. They suddenly felt cold and sad as if all the happiness went away.
It was gliding in mid-air as its black cloak kept moving back and forth. It seemed faceless under the cloak.
‘W-what is that?’ Olivia asked as she stopped in mid-air.
‘A Dementor!’ replied Amelia, breathing heavily.
Olivia started to growl as she was about to breathe fire.
‘Olivia, it’s no use,’ replied Isabell. ‘I think there was a spell-’
‘OH YEAH. THE PATRONUS CHARM THAT OLIVA TOLD US ABOUT!’
‘The incantation is: Expecto Patronum. Think of a happy memory! A strong one!’
‘A happy memory? A happy memory…’ said Isabell, she thought of Ivan and her parents. She then thought of Amelia and Olivia.
Of course, they are my happy memories.
She neighed at them and Isabell (in her unicorn form) had stood up, turned around and was facing the Dementor. Her horn was facing the Dementor’s hidden face and it started to glow bright blue. Isabell had driven off the Dementors with a spell that seemed to have been done by the command of her mind.
‘Wow!’ said Olivia and Amelia, mesmerised.
Isabell neighed again as she sat on Olivia’s back again. They then flew towards the black triangular building that was surrounded by sea. They knew they had reached the right destination. There wasn’t an entrance and so they thought hard on what to do to enter the building.
‘Olivia! Breathe fire!’ said the phoenix suddenly.
The dragon obeyed and started to breathe fire as her nostrils flared. She had burned part of the building that was big enough for all of them to enter.
‘Nice work.’
‘Thanks,’ Olivia the dragon said, rumbling.
‘OUCH!’ Isabell hit her white leg on the sharp edge of the wall and it started to bleed pure silver blood.
‘Oh my,’
Amelia flew towards Isabell the unicorn and landed next to her.
The phoenix started to cry on Isabell’s injured leg.
And within seconds, the leg was healed and was good as new, maybe even stronger than before.
‘Ok, that is cool I tell you,’ Isabell said, looking at her healed leg.
The phoenix let out a happy musical sound and started to enter the building. Olivia decided to turn into a human again since she was too big and could accidentally let prisoners escape. They saw familiar faces such as Bellatrix Lestrange, Mr. Clearwater, Mr. Malfoy and Sirius Black (they had overheard Professor McGonagall mentioning him and his crime, which was killing twelve Muggles and a wizard). Mr. Clearwater saw Amelia transform from a phoenix to a human and horror took over his face. His face then looked relieved since he thought his daughter was going to rescue him from this prison.
‘Amelia, dear! How proud am I! Now, get me out of this cell and I can free my fellow friends!’
Several people howled with excitement.
‘I’m not rescuing you dad! You should have not married this horrible woman when-when mum died,’ Amelia sighed deeply then closed her eyes for a second. ‘You should have not joined V-Voldemort.’
‘Amelia… Amelia... Amelia. I will kill that horrible woman for you if we just go back home. And I will try to do anything for us to be the perfect family.’
‘YOU NEVER LOVED MOTHER! WHY DID YOU MARRY THAT HORRIBLE WOMAN? YOU DON’T HAVE AN ANSWER, DO YOU? A-AND WE WERE THE PERFECT FAMILY WHEN MOTHER WAS STILL A-ALIVE!’
‘I-I- Look, it is hard to decide what to do when your beloved wife dies!’
‘I know you only married that cruel woman because she was rich and we were normal. You are full of hate, William Clearwater,’
Mr. Clearwater was shocked. People in the prison cells glanced at them, apparently interested in the argument.
Mr. Clearwater suddenly started crying. Amelia didn’t know if he was acting or not but she currently felt no mercy for him. When Amelia looked at her friends, they both had shocked expressions on their faces. Olivia looked as though she had just seen a bear and Isabell looked as though she was about to break the cell of Mr. Clearwater in anger. Olivia saw her and held her back as she shook her head.
‘A-AMELIA? Olivia? Isabell?’ a happy voice said as they were looking at Mr. Clearwater.
‘Draco?’ Isabell looked round just in time to see Amelia rushing towards Draco’s cell.
‘We are here to rescue-’ Amelia said, happier than usual.
‘DEMENTORS! LOOK OUT!’ Draco suddenly yelled, and indeed some Dementors were gliding towards them, fast.
Olivia turned into a dragon and tried to fend them off. She started to hit the Dementors with her tail but it was no use.
‘Isabell! Do that- that thing again!’ she said, struggling.
‘I-I can’t really think of happy memories, ok?’
‘Just try!’ Olivia said weakly as the Dementors began turning her back to a human then they started sucking her happy memories.
She felt very cold as her happy memories faded away.
‘PLEASE!’ yelled Olivia (as a human). ‘P-please-’
‘Ok!’ shouted Isabell and as she did, she transformed back into the unicorn and tried to use the same spell she used but she couldn’t this time.
She turned back to her human form and got her wand.
‘EXPECTO PATRONUM!‘
She thought of her parents. A silver unicorn emerged from her wand, it scared off the Dementors.
She pointed the unicorn in all directions so the dementors avoided coming near them.
‘It’s too weak!’ Isabell said. ‘Help Amelia! Do your phoenix patronus!’
Amelia used a spell which opened Draco’s cell, ‘Alohomora!’
‘Hey! Help us!’ Olivia yelled as she too attempted producing a dragon patronus, which was breathing silver fire.
‘No… I’m sorry, I can’t. I’ve risked too much! Friends are important but he’s my friend as well and-’ Amelia yelled as she pulled the door to Draco’s cell, he was injured and was walking slowly.
‘EXPECTO PATRONUM! I helped but when I leave, my patronus will fade….I’m so sorry. I will try and get Dumbledore.’
Amelia transformed to the phoenix and let Draco hold her tail and flew out of the big hole.
‘She left us!’ Olivia roared.
‘TRAITOR!’ Isabell screamed. ‘She let us come here for nothing!’
‘HOW CAN SHE?’
‘EXPECTO PATRONUM!’ Isabell tried casting the spell again. ‘It’s not working!’
‘You have to think of happy memories!’ shouted Olivia.
Isabell closed her eyes for a moment, then a tear slid down her cheeks as she opened them.
‘I’m trying to! I just can’t right now!’ she yelled.
‘Ivan! Me! AMELIA! WE SAVED DRACO! YOUR PARENTS ARE HAPPY! ANYTHING!’ Olivia yelled as a tear slid down her face too.
