All You Need To Know About Quidditch

Chapter 4

Quidditch is the WWWS (World Wide Wizarding Sport) of the century, and very important to the Wizarding World. So what better than to dedicate a chapter of my book to explaining all you need to know about Quidditch!

There are three types of balls in Quidditch. The quaffle, the bludgers and the Golden Snitch.

The Quaffle is the biggest of the balls, that players use to score points through the three hoops at each end.

The two Bludgers are used to try and distract players, or knock them of their broomsticks.

The Golden Snitch is a small ball that flies around that you have to try and catch.

The chasers are the people who try to score points, flying with the ball and passing it to teammates. There are three chasers. Each time they score through the hoop, they earn 10 points for their team. They use the Quaffle.

The beaters have bats which they wack the ball to the other team with. As well as trying to get the other team out, they are the protector of the team. Their are two beaters in each team. They use the Bludgers.

The seeker is the most important role in a Quidditch team. Their job is to find the ball, and catch it. Once they find it, then the game ends. There is only one seeker per team. Not only does the game end when they catch it, but it also earns their team 250 points! They use the Golden Snitch.

So now you should be good to go for Quidditch! I have mostly just outlined the rules, but you can learn the more you play!
