Back in the days, when people were discovering magic, it was chaos. When wands were made, people knew they had no consequences for their actions, and started duelling to death,  blowing streets up, and dark wizards were rising. They knew they had to make laws, and that's when they made the Ministry of Magic.

Because they knew they needed laws, the first department in the Ministry was the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, in 720AD. They made sure they had rules and installed many decrees.

After that, they started adding more departments like the Auror office, or the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad.

The building cost more than 2000 Galleons, and were desparate for people to help pay for the price.

This was a well-payed job, and people were eager to get in. The Ministry were taking whoever they could get, however, once people discovered it was a good job, they realised they needed people who were the very best. You need top N.E.W.Ts to get into the Ministry.

The Minister for Magic was a roll started because of the constant stress, and needed someone in control. Someone decided to step forward called Mary Balacancy. The Ministry states that she was the best Minister they ever had.

As you can see, the Ministry was a huge success, and we now have peace in the Wizarding World
