Chapter 1
The Founders Of Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry
The four founders - here we go…
Rowena Ravenclaw was born sometime in the tenth century. She was from the glens of Scotland and was either born or married into the Ravenclaw family. Rowena was a close friend of Helga Hufflepuff, from the Welsh valleys.
At an unknown time and by unknown means, Rowena acquired a wand. It is possible she purchased it from the Ollivander family, who had been in the wand-making business since 382 B.C., or made it herself.
She is Legendary most known for being “Intelligent and creative” and being one of the founders of Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Being one of the founders, she had one of the Hogwarts Houses to herself and named them “Ravenclaws” after herself. Any person sorted into this Smart House, had many qualities that she prized her hand picked students. All the wisdom…creativity….dreams and beliefs. The famous Ravenclaw Motto is “Wit beyond Measure, is man’s greatest treasure” and is also known for having a special object of her own.
The Ravenclaw House had a Raven because of how smart they were.
Stolen by Helena Ravenclaw, Rowena owned the precious Diadem with the Ravenclaw Motto engraved on it. Whoever puts it on, get smarter…cleverer and rumors say that you become a Ravenclaw for that time being in your possession. However, she died in the eleventh century because she became ill. Legends say that’s why Rowna Died. Even though Helena's words as a ghost on that topic was
"I stole the diadem. I sought to make myself cleverer, more important than my mother. I ran away with it. My mother, they say, never admitted that the diadem was gone, but pretended that she had it still. She concealed her loss, my dreadful betrayal, even from the other founders of Hogwarts. Then my mother fell ill — fatally ill. In spite of my perfidy, she was desperate to see me one more time. She sent a man who had long loved me, though I spurned his advances, to find me. She knew that he would not rest until he had done so."
Moving on, The close friend of Rowna was Helga Hufflepuff. Both had a lovely, loyal, intelligent relationship and she was one of the founders as well.
Helga Hufflepuff was a Welsh witch and was one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. While the other founders chose to have special students, she accepted them all without preference, but the students of her house are described as loyal and hard-working. Helga's portrait remained at Hogwarts until at least the 1980s.
She taught any student that was loyal, hard-working Like Cedric Diggory, For example. They even showed bravery and were willing to learn. She called them “Huffepuffs”, as that was her surname.
Unlike the others, she had her own view of teaching. She said "I'll teach the lot and treat them just the same." Which demonstrates the kind personality and uniqueness of Hufflepuffs. She was exceptionally kind and loyal (Not to mention Fair) to the other houses and students, of course. Like Rowena, her special object was the Hufflepuff Cup. It was brightish yellow and had a special badger engraved on it, as this was the Hufflepuff sign.
Sadly, when she died in the eleventh century as well, the cup was stolen and got into the hands of Bellatrix Lestrange’s vault herself!! (As it was also a Hurcrux).
Aside from Ladies, Godric Gryffindor was also probably the bravest as well. This is a very special house to those who will be brave at the end. Willing to die for loved ones, Gryffindor students are prized on Bravery as well.
Godric Named his students “Gryffindors” after his surname and chooses the bravest, selfless and most people who will not save themselves, but others. Godric prized himself on having the most wonderful sword of Gryffindor, However, as it was uncovered in the latest century, the sword is Goblin made and Bathilda Bagshot mentioned that in History Of Magic By Bathilda Bagshot.
The English wizard by the name of Godric Gryffindor had his own, unique motto. Here it goes: "We'll teach all those with brave deeds to their name.". That was his preference to his hand-picked students before the Sorting Hat was deciding.
One of his best Friends, was the one and only Salazar Slytherin. His lot was called “Slytherins” and he had many qualities that he prized himself on….Determination….Resourcefulness…and, probably, “A certain Disregard Of Rules…” as Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore quotes himself.
Legends say that any Dark Witch or Wizard alway came out of Slytherin, never different. One of Slytherins most greatest and unique things was that he was a parselmouth (Can talk to snakes) and was one of the world's most skilled Legilmencyist. Tom Riddle is known to be the most powerful descendent. The Slytherins house was a Serpent, people even called Salazar himsel“Serpent-Tongue”. The house object is the Locket Of Slytherin.
