Herbology 101: Lesson 1

Chapter 2

Let's start our first lesson. Go to the lesson like i showed you in chapter 1, or click this link: https://www.hogwartsishere.com/courses/HERB-101/lesson/9/

How do i take notes?
Now we read the text, it's good to take notes while reading, so you can remember the info. When you take notes, don't just write everything down that your see. Try to summarise (that means explain things shortly), try to only take a note of what you think is the key part of information.

For example in the first paragraph (that mean first block of text, the text between the blank lines) there is a lot of info that you don't have to remember, so don't write that down! What you should write down (for this specific paragraph) is:
-what we are going to do in this lesson.
It says exactly that in the last lines of the paragraph:

'In this lesson, we will be discussing just what herbology is, some of the expectations of this course, and some formal, administrative information we need to get out of the way. We will start looking at plants in earnest in Lesson Five.' (Herbology 101, Lesson 1)

That line is the key piece of information of that paragraph, so go ahead and write that down. This is what you do for every paragraph in the text: find the keypiece and write it down. Sometimes a paragraph has more than 1 key piece, that's okay, just write all the key pieces down.

Good now in the next chapter we are really going to start. The following chapters will be summaries of the lesson of the professor. I will try to explain the information in the lessons in an easy way.
