Chapter 1
Mory,
You are probably reading this when I'm gone. I just want you to know that I love you. Your mom left when you were 13 months old. You don't know how often I think about her. I don't want you to think that I have answers, because I don't. Your mom left to Asia and I have no idea where she is now, but don't come looking for her. I don't think she wants to see you. I don't know why and I don't know when you'll ever see her. We didn't know she was pregnant. We didn't know there would be little Mory. I'm sorry I can't tell you more, I really am.
Mr. Drackenhart,
"That was a letter from my dad", I said. My uncle kept still and he stared at the chimney of our house. We were standing outside and checking for mail. "Here, another letter", said Mr. Clum as he handed it to me. "Hogwarts!", I shouted out. My uncle read the letter and he smiled at me. "That's good news isn't it?", he asked me. I didn't really wanted to go to Hogwarts, but I know that my dad would be proud if he knew I was accepted. So I answered:"Yes, I know my dad would be proud too." My uncle went inside and so did I. He then went upstairs to the attic. There was a beautiful view outside the window and my uncle asked me too light a candle. We sat on a chair beside the window and we both smiled. Whenever we sit in the attic it reminds us about mom. "Don't you miss her too?", I asked. Uncle took a glance at the wonderful view outside. He then whispered:"Your mom was the best sister in the whole world, I'd do everything to see her again." I saw a tear in his eye and then he quickly wiped it of his cheek as it dropped down. "I think it's way past your bedtime. Goodnight my little wizard", he said. I gave him a hug and ran to my bed. I sighed. "What if I don't like Hogwarts? What then?", I asked myself. I blew my candle and went to sleep.
