The first spell I practised today was the fire-making charm. When performed this charm produces fire. Before I performed the spell I cleared away all of my papers away from the spell casting area and set out an unlit candle. I then said the word "incendio" whilst making a flame shaped motion with my wand. The result was a that a small flame was produced and lit the candle.

After extinguishing the candle flame safely I then practised the locomotion charm. The purpose of this charm is to move a target from one location to another. For this spell I got out the doll I used when practising flight charms and set it out on the table. I said the incantation "locomotor" and moved my wand in a full circle followed by an upward flick towards the doll. The result was that I moved the small plastic bracelet on the doll. I tried the spell again, this time making sure I concentrated fully on the doll itself. This time I moved the doll from one side of the room to the other.

My overall thoughts on this practise was that it went well. In future I will try and enhance my concentration in order to make sure that my spells work effectively.
