When we woke up, we started towards the bedroom. It wasn’t much, just a pair of bunk beds and a wall. As Tom looked around, I grabbed something out of Fox's closet.” ok… so that's where the next few buttons are.” I walked to Yuri's door and opened it. There behind a hoodie, was a button. I pushed it, and the wall in front of Tom opened up to show the kitchen. After a few glances, Tom and I were cooking breakfast. We decided on simple eggs and toast, not trying to use up all of the supplies. ”ok, so Tom, your doing dishes. Ima go find more buttons.” as I said, I walked off. “Alright, how do you like your eggs? Sunny Side up or scrambled?”, ”surprise me,” I wink, then disappear around the corner. “Ok, where to next” I pulled out the map from Fox’s closet and followed it along the wall. I hit 2 buttons along the way. One for the laundry room and the other for the game room. The last two were somewhere by the bathroom and a room that was scratched out.“Hmmm, Fox! Where is the next room?”I looked down the hall, and I saw a button. I ran and hit it. The wall next to me opened to reveal a room full of weapons.“Hmm, guess this is the weapons closet.” When the button was pressed, a locking sound echoed around the tunnels, meaning the hatch was opened. “Wtf was that!?” I hurried towards the source of the sound. When I got there, Tom was holding our plates. “Did you not hear that?”, “Nope, but breakfast’s made, though. Eat up before it gets cold.” I grabbed my plate and sat down, “thanks''. “So what was that sound you heard? Could you describe it?”” it sounded like a lock or something, an- and then I heard my brother Foxes voice.``. Tom coughed, “ Woah, slow down, so you’re trying to say you had a visual memory? I’ve only had one, but that was influenced by a few drugs. Sorry, continue.”. No, no, it wasn’t a memory. It was like he was right there next to me… it was like he was here even though he's not. “Well, if he was here, we’d know, right, right?” “No, we wouldn’t. Fox is like a fox. He’s sly and quiet on his feet. He’s in one place then the next in seconds. It’s like he’s just air.”. “Well, that’s some name then. What about the others. Could they be here? And Yuri left the country, we think. “So you know your dad died, they all left, and you’ve been sent to KA to train to find the man who killed your father? I guess I came into your life at an eventful time then”. “Yep, I guess u did. I love u, Tom,” I say as I walk off to the bedrooms. “Well, I think I better get some sleep before he finds out what I meant.” I giggled. I heard Fox’s voice again as I fell asleep, but it sounded right next to me. I bolted up and saw a shadow figure next to me.  F-fox?? Is that u?” The figure sat down on the floor. “ Hey, Sis, it’s been a long time.. I’ve missed u. Now listen to me. There are 4 more buttons u need to find, but if u wanna make it out, u need to find the 5th one that opens the hatches. Ik where the other 4 are, but it’s up to u to find the 5th one. Ok? Now I have to go, or they’ll get mad. I love u, My little fighter. Stay safe.” And with that, he was gone. An in his place stood Tom, wide-eyed and scared. After I realized what had happened, a piece of paper fluttered down beside Tom. “Wow, so now he comes home. What an exit.”. Tom looked at me, shocked, “THAT is your brother? Where…where did he even come from!?!? There’s no entrance nor exit, yet he’s here and gone in 2 seconds!?!”. “ Hehe, yep, that’s Fox, he’s my Lil Fox. As I said, he’s sly and as fast as a fox, plus he’s not truly here… he’s here but not here.``. Tom looked at me, confused, “How the hell does that work?”, “Well, in the school, they teach some techniques to separate the soul from the body for limited times depending on how concentrated they are. They’d also have to know the location well enough to manifest in it. It mainly helps with stealth missions.”” Oh, like going between both worlds, life and the afterlife?”. I nodded, “Pretty much. Just u don’t wanna linger in the afterlife for too long, or there are major consequences. Like permanent death.”” I mean, that makes sense, but what if they’re interrupted during the process?” “Well, either u die or your soul immediately goes back. But that's why you mainly do it around other people and not alone and out in the open.” As I said this, I jumped back and did a flip for fun. “Ok, showoff,” Tom tried to flip but a pipe spawned behind him. “Maybe don’t do a flip in an underground bunker.” I walked over to Tom and kissed his cheek, “But hey, you don't have to worry about shifting a shit it’s not taught here anymore.”“Darn, it would’ve been useful in the boys home.” he said chuckling. I looked at Tom and just hugged him. A long and tight hug. I smiled when I felt his arms around me as well. After a few minutes, Tom was going to let go, but then he was slumped over on me, trying to stand. I fell backward onto the ground. “Ow, that hurt” as I stand up, Tom reaches out a hand, and I take it. “Thanks,” I say with a smile. As I got up, Tom looked at me and asked.” So should we get some sleep?” I looked at him and smiled. “ Sure, but I call dibs on the top bunk!” As the night went on, I lay awake on the top bunk thinking about Foxs.” I wonder if he's safe?” I sat up and started down the ladder but was stopped when Tom grabbed the ladder.``Edith, what are u doing up? Are u ok? I look down, and to my surprise, I see Tom looking up at me, worried. “I'm ok, Tom. Just a lot on my mind, that's all.” What's on your mind, Edith? You know you can talk to me. Right?” I look at Tom and smile. “Thanks” I climb up one step, then I jump off the ladder and next to the bottom bunk.” I’m going on a walk.If u need me, holler!”. As I walk down the hall, I think to myself, “ Dang, it's been an eventful year, hasn't it. First, my mum has a miscarriage. Then we meet Tom after the boy's home burns down. Mum goes on a business trip for 2 months, comes back, and doesn't talk much about it. Then Foxs comes back while Tom and I are trapped in this bunker for god knows how long. This year can't get any worse. Right?” As I was walking, I noticed that the light was on in the kitchen, so I started walking over that way when all of a sudden the light went out. “F-Fox? Is that you?” I said as I neared the kitchen. I started to panic because there was no response. I turn around and scream before realizing it was Tom. “Tom u scared the shit outta me.“Tom looked at me and said, “Sorry I was just worried about you. That's all.” I looked at him a smiled ”Oh, sorry if I worried u. I didn't mean to, sorry”.
