When I got home, I went to my room and sat down, wondering what the hell I did wrong to make him look so disappointed in me? All of a sudden, there’s a knock on my door. I wipe the tears off my face and answer. “C-come in.” Mum came in and started asking what had happened. “Mum, nothing happened, I promise.” I got up and slammed the door. I heard muttering behind the door. I heard another knock on the door. OMFG! COME IN” I looked up, and it was Tom.” O-oh, hey Tom.””Hey uh, your mum said you were upset; what happened?” “Oh uh, she asked what happened, and I slammed the door on her. But why do u care anyways? “Mr perfect”?” I rolled my eyes and stared at him. “ well speak?!”. “ You know what, I may seem like ‘Mr. Perfect’ to you, but I’m trying to help the most I can without trying to mess things up. I’m trying to do multiple things simultaneously and trying to protect you simultaneously. Do you realize how hard that is? I've been meaning to tell you this for a long time. I just don't know what you’ll think or say…Tom, answer me, damn it!”. “If it has anything to do with what happened on the dance floor, that was accidental. If not, I’ll hear you out about it in the morning.”. Tom walked out of the room quietly, shutting the door behind him. I get up and lock my door. As I do, I look around my room. I remember I had a hatch that led to my brother’s room. My brother and I would always use it to get out of the house or just escape life. After a couple of minutes of looking, I found it. I opened the hatch and slowly jumped down: Careful not to wake up mum and Tom. I walk along the tunnel to my brother; Tom's room. I find the other hatch and cautiously push upon it. As it opens, I climb up and see Tom asleep. I walked over to him and tapped his shoulder. “Tom, are u awake?”I stare at him for a second and walk back to the tunnel. While walking back, a sudden creak of the floorboard echoed through the tunnel to the whole house.” Crap!”I turn back and see Tom at the top of the tunnel at my brother’s end. He went down to see me hunched over, reading a book, with a confused look. “Oh hey, Tom. What’s up?”Tom stared at me in shock. “ I think you failed to mention the door in my closet. And all of this!”I looked at him and smiled. “ Well, u never asked, sooooo I never told u.”, He stood there looking for the right thing to say and looking for a place to sit. “So let me run down everything I know; you have a secret tunnel system, there’s a school for assassins’, and why was the door on my side open?”.“Well, the reason your side was open is cuz one side has to be opened, or you get locked out cuz I shut mine, and it locked, so I opened yours without thinking. This used to be my brother and my hiding place when my parents fought or had a party and they got drunk. I haven't been down here in years.” as I got up, I pressed a button on the wall. Both hatches shut and locked. “Welp, I forgot about the buttons on the walls.” ”So ah, how do we get out if they’re both locked?” I looked at him. I chuckled” Tom there are only 3  ways out of the 2 hatches and a secret tunnel that's unlocked by one of the 70 million buttons down here. So our chances are slim to none of running out. I chuckled but don't fear, we're not going to die from lack of food or water because there's a mini kitchen here and bunk beds and a bathroom. Though I don’t know if the plumbing still works down here. We haven't used it since the Bombing in London a couple of years ago. “Huh, for being assassins, you guys know construction pretty well.” I laughed, “ya, we do, Our brother Yuri built this house for us, and Papa helped. I helped build this with Yuri, though he always hated it cuz it was only a tunnel but little did he know. The only people who know about this tunnel are Fox, Alek, Yuri, and Now you. Yuri is my oldest brother, Alek is the middle child, An Fox and I are the youngest. Mum was supposed to have another baby, but he died in the womb. We were gonna name him Pip. After Pipler, our old panther. After Pip died, mum was traumatized, But I was there to help in any way I could.”” Geez, well then, I’d say you got dealt a shitty hand.” I chuckled “ ya, I guess I did, but im glad, cuz, in the end, I met u. But if we’re going to make it till the emergency locking system shuts off, we will have to find the other buttons. And fast.” He looked around, “well, did you ever see where his hand was?” “whose hand? Yours?” I look at him, confused. “Well, if he had his hand by the right button, we can find the right button? We’ll just have to work off of your memory “ Oh, u mean Fox’s hand. Well, that would be easy .” I follow the wall about 10 feet down the corridor, stopped, and hit the button on the wall.” Bingo!” I looked at Tom and smiled. “ well we have 2 out the 6 buttons we have to find.”, “Six!?! Why are there six buttons for two doors!?” I chuckled, “There are 6 rooms that open, like the bathroom and bedroom. Along with the Game room and the other rooms in the house.”, “Oh, I thought those were laundry shoots.” He chuckled with a wondering smile. “Wait, then what happened to my clothes then?” We followed one of the tunnels, and thereby, the bathroom tunnel was a month's worth of clothes sitting at the base. “Oh,.” “lol, fox is the best” I grabbed one of the hoodies under the door that said fox and put it on. “It still smells like him. “It’s always good to soak in old memories, but reality hits hard sometimes.''Ya, it does.” I looked at Yuri's door and started to tear up, “I miss them so much. ”Tom came over and hugged me tight, “Don’t worry, I’ve had moments like this. Friends and family can help at times like this. Since we’re stuck down here, would you like to tell me what’s on your mind? If you don’t mind me saying this, but tonight wasn’t as smooth as you planned, was it?” “nope, I wasn’t ..”. After that, we went to bed and were out like lights in seconds.
