Hogwarts is How?

Chapter 3

Hi everyone! Welcome back to Hogwarts is HowLet's get onto the news.

Firstly, Professor's Assistant applications are still open for DADA, CoMC, and Ancient Runes! For Care of Magical Creatures and Ancient Runes, you need to have completed all assignments--including extra credit--from Year 2 of the subject with a 90% or higher. However, it's recommended that you complete more. For DADA, you need to have all assignments completed--again, including extra credit--from Year 1 with an 85% or higher. You can apply if you've completed all the required assignments but they haven't all been graded. For questions about the applications, owl the Professor who teaches the subject you're looking to apply for (Professor Penrose for DADA, Professor Anne for CoMC, and Professor Wessex for Ancient Runes)!

Speaking of Professors, Professor applications are also open! Applications are currently open for History of Magic and Ancient Studies Professors. It's very highly recommended that applicants complete the entire course (all years) for the subject they wish to teach before applying to be Professor. For questions about that, owl Headmistress Oshiro!

For more information about PA and Professor applications, and for the links to the forms you fill out to apply, visit The Newsroom or Volunteer sections of HiH.

Next, let's have a look at the House Cup! Ravenclaw is still in the lead with about 244,000 points, but this is actually not great news for Ravenclaw: if last week's report was correct, they're down about 7,500 points from last week! They'll have to turn this around if they wish to stay in the lead. This is not helped by the fact that Hufflepuff, who's in 2nd place, have gained nearly 10,000 points this week, bringing them up to about 212,500 points! Gryffindor is in 3rd place with about 188,000, making them the most improved house by gaining around 14,000 points just this week! And finally, Slytherin is still in last place, having gained  about 4,500 points, bringing their total to about 160,500 points. If you want to keep track of the House Cup, head on over to the Great Hall!

And now, let's have a look at today's Hogwartle. If you don't want any hints for the Hogwartle, skip this paragraph! If you do, here you go: It's unclear how much these are really worth, but you'll find plenty at most Wizarding shops!

This has been the second installment of Hogwarts is How?, see you next time!
