Chapter 1
Hello and welcome to the first ever issue of A Gay's Gaze at Hogwarts! My name is Esmeralda Licorice and I am the writer, editor, and, well, literally every other job for this publication! So, what is A Gay's Gaze? Basically, it's a weekly publication I'm making for the LGBTQ+ community here at HiH. It's semi-inspired by the Hogwarts Daily News (currently published by Belle Brooke), which I highly recommend you check out. For now, each issue will be set up with the following sections (in this order):
- Queer Quotes -- A quote from a notable LGBTQ+ person in history
- Hogwarts is How? -- Updates on HiH in general
- Hogwarts GSA -- Updates on the club LGBTQIA+ HIH Community
- Zoom Out -- Updates on the wider Harry Potter community
- Could it Be? -- An LGBTQ+ Harry Potter headcannon review
- Reader's Digest -- An LGBTQ+ fanfiction recommendation
If you have ideas for Queer Quotes, Could it Be?, or Reader's Digest, submit them to me via owl and I may include it in future issues! Additionally, you can owl me if you have an idea for a section that YOU would like to write for A Gay's Gaze, and your section may be included in the publication!
