After the fight everything went back to normal except when Erin and Ana passed each other in the halls, it seems that every time they see each other they are plotting a murder. Then one day it looked as if they were going to fight, but they shook hands and made an agreement to not fight until Christmas break. I was surprised! They even apologized! Maybe this year isn't going to be so bad after all. After they made the deal we went our separate ways, Ana and I were both in herbology and were excited. And she finally introduced me to her friend in Gryffindor, Fred Weasley the II. She said that he was the one who showed her the secret passageways. After herbology we met Ana’s ghost friend Peeves, we had been told that he was the most troublesome ghost and shouldn't be messed with but she decided to be his friend seeing as no one likes him. And man, that was the smartest decision of her life, he taught us about all of the secret passageways, even the ones that only he knew about.  With these passages, we would be able to get to our classes two times faster! Next, I had Charms Ravenclaw, where I got to sit with Amber and we talked about winter break. But while in charms we heard a weird whistling and we heard someone call us to the forbidden forest, when we talked to Ana and Celestia their eyes were wide and they told us that they had the same occurrence. 

We next had Defense Against the Dark Arts. They changed the schedule today so that our substitute only had one class so every house had the same class together. We got the worst news of all… Professor Umbridge was the substitute teacher!! The good thing is our parents hate her and said that we were allowed to misbehave if she was our teacher, so Ana, Amber, Celestia, and I stuffed our pockets with Ton Tongue Toffees and at the start of the class, we each gave her one saying that we were excited for class, and man, oh man it was the funniest thing I had ever seen, her tongue went ten times bigger than its original size. And she was furious!!! Of course, we got detention, but it was 100% worth it. 

The detention was tonight at midnight in the DADA classroom, later that night all four of us met in the Great Hall. We slowly walked down the hall to the DADA classroom and were greeted by the caretaker who told us to wait here and that he was going to announce that we were here. As we walked in and looked around it was completely different from when we last were here for lessons, all the windows were closed and there was a huge throne at the back of the room sitting on top was Umbridge sipping her tea and looking very pleasant." Welcome Children” said Umbridge with a slight smile “ Here is how it is going to work. There are three parts to this, as you can see there is a physical, mental, and non-magic part you will each do these tasks. “So let’s get started,” she said with a wicked smile. 

She led us into a soundproof room with four chairs and told us to sit down and we did without saying a word. “This is how it's going to work. You each have to withstand the Cruciatus Curse, that means making no noise, no talking, no screaming, not even whispering.''Ana and I took it well but Amber and Celestia didn’t, they went through it at least ten times before they got used to it.  After a pain-filled hour, we finally move on to the mental challenge, “For this challenge you each have ten minutes to come up with the best way to kill someone, but you may not have the same idea as someone else.” said Umbridge. Ana wrote down that the best way to kill someone was to stab them with an icicle because it will melt, Celestia said that the best way to kill someone is to mentally abuse someone to the point that they kill themselves. Amber said that the best way to kill someone is to drown them so that you can make it look like an accident and I said that the best way to kill someone was to put Arsenic in their drink because it’s colorless, odorless, and tasteless.

“Very good children! Now is the magic-less part you will have to type 500 of the newest detention records into these computers. You will do it in groups of two Ava and Ana you are together and Celestia and Amber you are together. Now off you go. Umbridge said looking very pleasant. This was the most boring thing I have ever done and that’s saying a lot because I have to do almost every chore in the house! After hours of work we had gotten to detention number 188 and noticed that it was Austin's name on the paper, we looked at it more in-depth and it said Austin had been caught by the caretaker seeking about at night. Ana and I were amazed that we finally found something that we could tell him for and he would be in trouble. We thought about the glory mom would give us if we could tell her dirt on the “perfect” child. Maybe we wouldn’t be such an afterthought or maybe we would be the “perfect” children for once. After a long debate, we decided not to tell anybody we ever knew that he got detention. Finally after a very long three and a half hours of rewriting it was over and we walked back to the secret places on the castle and decided to spend the night there.

It was a month after the whole detention when we got an owl with newspapers, when we read the text we were shocked by what had happened it said that Umbridge had killed four people in the way that we had described in the detention and then it hit us we heard whispering again still calling us to the forest so many weird things were happening, we couldn't wait till Christmas break. It seems like each day something bad happens, yesterday Amber fell and broke her leg and the day before that Celestia broke her ankle, we thought that maybe after Christmas things will start to look up but now I'm not so sure. Every day Celestia and Amber end up hurt so after 3 weeks they just went home for Christmas, leaving Ana and me all alone. When it was finally Christmas day we had planned to meet in Ana’s dorm to open presents. We both got the new iPhone and we got a magic fridge that will make any food we want which was perfect because both of us need our midnight snacks like chocolate frogs, tackle tarts, and pumpkin juice. 

We were playing Minecraft on our phones when we got called to the forest again, so we made a plan. When the clock turns to midnight we head out under the invisibility cloak using one of the secret passageways. When we got to the forest we heard a twig snap but when we turned around there was nothing there, we were a bit weirded out but continued into the forest then Bam we blackout… when we woke up we are in a tent filled with treasures and in the middle was a throne and sitting on it was an elf, I mean we had read about them sure but seeing one in real life was mind-boggling, the leader was a woman with white hair, fair skin, blood-red lips, and beautiful blue eyes. She looked at us with a kind smile and said “we have been waiting for you to come for a very long time” “Why would you wait for us?” I asked, “ we are only children…” 

“Well…” she replied “You two are very special people, you are the only humans who have the spirit of the elf” “What's that?” Ana asked, “Well when an elf is born a halo appears above their head if they are destined to learn the ways of the ancient elves if they don't then they are sent to the fields and become farmers, and it was a great surprise when we found out by one of our scavengers that they saw a halo over both of your heads while passing by'' I was super surprised… I mean elves were the founders of magic, they were the first people to teach muggles magic, creating witches and wizards and then we find out that we were destined to learn the ways of the founders of magic!? “ I get that this might be a shock,” said the elf. “Oh! I forgot to introduce myself! My name is Húrel, Leader of the elves, and you are Ava and Ana… training starts tomorrow at 8 pm, don't be late” with that we were guided back to the castle by two young elves. When we got back we went straight to bed.

When we woke up Ana snuck into my common room and we both pulled some pranks on the remaining students using ton tongue toffees of course. Then we saw something really strange, Austin was creeping out of the common room and heading straight towards the forest with a scroll… explaining how to find the elves… this wasn't good, so when he looked away to see if the coast was clear we set the map on fire then ran away we were thankfully still under the invisibility cloak so he didn't see anything but that was close, we need to warn the elves.

When it got dark we headed to the forest and found Húrel waiting for us, “Your first lesson is on how to navigate the forbidden forest” she said “So you must travel to the fairy village, the mermaid cove, the unicorn valley and finally the elven camp. When you get to each destination perform a simple spell by saying pictorisum and it will capture whatever image you want” with that we were left alone. “Alright,” said Ana “If we want to go to the fairy village we want to go deeper into the forest and off the trails”. “But why?” I asked “The trails are the only thing keeping us away from danger”. “Well” she replied “The trails keep us away from danger but they also keep us away from all other life in the forest too”.

And much to my chagrin we went off the trail. It took us several hours to find the first village, meanwhile, we had figured out the secret… If you look up into the sky the trees made a formation to align the stars and show us where each civilization is and also how there were vines you could swing on to save time. By that point, it only took us half an hour to get to the other destinations. And by the time we got back, everyone was ready for our next lesson, Ana's favorite… Archery, when we got our bows, mine had a golden beryl gem on the top and bottom and Ana had sapphire on hers. I guess we don't need those bows mom got us so we donated them and the swords to the elves because they were providing us with the proper weapons. After a long night of training, we went back to the castle and went to bed. What a long night.

We took about a week to perfect all of their battle skills but we did it! Then we moved on to magic, how to control it, how to use it without a wand, and how to take away or give back someone's magic which to their surprise we got done in about two days. The spell to take away someone's magic is by saying Indus Pavo. And after that, we had to return to school.
