Part One - Introduction:

I would first like to say a warm 'hello!' to you, professor, and that I am very much interested in Charms; spellcasting has always seemed the center of magic to me, so I hope to get as good at it as I possibly can.  I've never thought of myself of having really any talent whatsoever in magic, but I have always known about it if that's what you mean; my father and I lived in Wales near a forest filled with all sorts of creatures found in stories and such.  He was a wizard and would use many spells around the house, so I think I'd like to learn lots of practical spells for every-day things; however, learning spell casting theory is just as interesting to me.  It seems to be a magic focused science, I think.  I would like to focus on the official, though, if you don't mind, but if we don't, I'll still be interested.  The pure magic of causing something to happen is what excites me most.

Part Two - Journal Plan:

For my journal, I'll be taking the role-playing route.  I've done roleplaying before often and I believe it will come easiest and be the most effective for me.  I'll use the notebook system on the website for this.
