Now Or Never
Chapter 47
"It's now or never." Frank gave Sirius a little shove. I frowned. Sirius stumbled towards me.
Frank
crossed his arms and smirked. Alice giggled. She whispered something in
Marlene's ear. Marlene giggled. She turned and whispered something
in...i think you get my point.
I stepped forward, my arms also crossed.
"Sirius,
what's going on..." I asked. it was about three in the morning and I
was tired. I was half way through grumpy and hyper. Whatever was going
on, this was not the best time.
"Serana, I know, I can't believe I'm
doing this either. You're brother is very pushy and can be really scary
sometimes, just like you. I feel that, now is the best time to ask you
this-"
"Sirius, we can't get married. I'm still underage you rascal," I teased.
"Serana," he whined.
"Sorry. It's like three am. I'm tired," I whined back.
"Serana before you say anything else stupid, will you be my girlfriend?"
I stopped breathing.
Sirius' POV:
Frank pulled me off to the side.
"Ask her," he said.
"What?" I asked.
"Ask her. To be your girlfriend," Frank said.
"Woah, woah, woah back up. Where'd all this come from?" I scoffed.
"She
just spent an hour and a half holding you while you cried. Tell me,
would any of the other girls you've 'dated' done that?"
"No," I grumbled,"They would have dumped me as soon as soon as yet saw me cry."
"Exactly.
My sister will care for you. You've hurt her so many times and still he
sticks by your side. You need to ask her out, before someone else
does," Frank said. I looked back at River. Our eyes met.
"It's now or never," Frank said giving me a light shove forward.
I stumbled towards her, taking in a deep breath.
Normal POV:
"What?"
"Will
you be my girlfriend. Honestly, River, it's a yes or no question. From
what I know about you, you're pretty good at those," He said, grinning.
"Say yes," five voices chorused from behind me.
"Sure,
what the heck. I'll probably wake up in the morning thinking this a
dream anyway. So-" Sirius crashed his lips against mine.
"Hmm, that was abrupt," I breathed.
"Thank you so much for saying yes. No I'm going to take a taxi to James'." Sirius walked towards the door.
"Sirius, it's three in the morning," I called after him. He smirked and tipped an imaginary hat. I frowned as the door shut.
"What on earth did you say to him?"
"Ahhhhhhh!" Lily, Jinxy, Ally, Charlie, and Mar screamed.
"Shhhh!" I hushed.
"Ahhhh!" They whispered. I laughed.
"How long have you been waiting for this moment?" Lily asked.
"Since
first year," I blushed. Charlie aww'd. I pushed her shoulder. She
pushed me back. I fell into Ally. Soon, a pillow fight erupted. We were
giggling and hitting each other.
It was the best night of my life.
After I thought that. I felt absolutely terrible. Sirius just got disowned and I'm sitting hitting my friends with pillows.
What's wrong with me?
Right, it's three in the morning. Can't be proper and stuff.
Maybe I should sleep.
Huh. I haven't been able to sleep in a while.
I need sleep. I'm going to go crazy.
"Rani, you need sleep," Charlie said, placing a hand on my shoulder. I nodded. I laid down.
I shut my eyes. I saw the blood waterfall and sat up quickly, gasping.
"Rani,
it's okay. We're right here, you're alright," Ally said. I nodded again
and laid down once more. I closed my eyes and forced all thoughts of my
dream away. Instead I thought of Sirius.
I thought of his dark hair. His brilliant grey eyes. I though of his smile. I thought of his lips, pressed firmly against mine.
Eww. That sounded gross.
Anyway,
I thought of him and I was soon in a deep sleep, where I dreamed of
Lucy riding a unicorn name Cissy and of a tree called Thor which could
talk. Ahh, the woes or imagination.
