The Proper Date
Chapter 35
Normal POV:
"This isn't like a date where you just wanna protect me from being alone, is it?" I asked. Tony laughed.
"No!
It's an actual date. So…what do you think?" He smirked at me. I nodded,
even though I still couldn't get the image of Razzy running towards me
out of my head.
"Great! Meet me at the Three Broomsticks
tomorrow?" He said. I bit my lip and nodded. He smiled and ran away.
Narcissa was standing right behind him.
"Oh my gosh!" She squealed excitedly. She ran over to me and hugged me.
"We are going to get you the perfect outfit EVER!!" She yelled, shaking me. I smiled at her.
"Jeesh, Cissy. The dates not until tomorrow," I laughed. She squealed again.
"I
know, but I haven't gotten to plan an outfit since Bella left!" She
exclaimed. I shook my head at her girlyness. She linked her arm with
mine.
"I'm going to bring you all my clothes, and we're going to pick out an outfit," she said.
"I
have a better idea," I smirked. She tilted her head. I told her about
the Room Of Requirements. She nodded and started rambling on and on
about clothes. As we walked to our next class, I caught a pair of grey
eyes staring at me from behind the corner. They were so hurt. I knew
those eyes. I knew them like the back of my hand. I knew why they were
hurt. I wanted run over to him and hug him and tell him I love him. I
shook my head.
He left you like everyone else, Serana. He ruined your life out of jealousy and spite.
"You OK, Rani?" Cissy asked. I nodded.
"Just nervous." I lied. Well, it was practically the truth.
"That's
normal! When I first started dating Lucy, I was freaking out!" She
exclaimed. All through History Of Magic, Cissy rambled on and on about
the date. I just couldn't stop thinking about those hurt, grey eyes that
I loved so much. You could say I loved them too much.
No Serana! You don't love them!
"Okay, okay. Calm down," I whispered to myself.
"Mrs. Longbottom, what are you doing?" Professor Binns asked.
"Whispering
to myself," I groaned. Some people sniggered, but quickly shut up, due
to the glares of about four Slytherins and a Gryffindor (I was the
Gryffindor, by the way).

I was speechless.
"You look beautiful, Rani!" Cissy screamed. She turned me away from the mirror and hugged me.
"It's
getting close to noon, we should get you to the carriages!" She yelled.
She practically dragged me across the grounds and to the carriages.
Cissy and I climbed into one, only to be accompanied by four people, I
really didn't want to see.
"Hello Serana," Lily Evans said. I
rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. Marlene, Ellie, and Alice Sat on one
side, and Lily Sat next to me.
"Evans," I growled. I turned my back to her and towards Cissy.
"So you're meeting him at 12:15, right?" Cissy asked. I nodded.
"I'm honestly freaking out, Cissy. What if he makes a move on me?" I said.
"Then
go along with it! It doesn't really matter! No, it doesn't. If he asks
you to be his girlfriend, say yes, if he kisses you, just go along with
it."
"So, you're going on a date?" I could hear the sadness in
Lily's voice. When we were in 5th grade, we promised not to go on a date
until we were 18. I was 16. I looked at her with a 'no duh' face before
looking back at Cissy.
"Besides, Lucy, Reg, Sev, Yax, and I will
be in Honeydukes the whole time, if you need any help," Cissy picked up
where we had left off.
"Ok," I nodded. The carriage stopped. Cissy and I hopped out quickly.
"Be
yourself, he knows you, be you. Don't fake anything. Except, when he
says a joke, laugh, even if it's cheesy. The boys love that stuff," she
said as She strightened my shirt. I nodded again. I spotted Tony, and
let out a a shaky breath.
"You'll do great, Rani. I'm sure of
it," Cissy said. She noticed I wasn't moving, so she pushed me forward. I
stumbled for a second.
"Hey, Serry," Tony said. I smiled at him.
"Hey," I breathed.
"You look…wow. I didn't know you had it in you," he smirked at me. I blushed.
"I
had some help from Cissy," I said, pushing a piece of hair behind my
ear and looking back at Cissy. She held her two thumbs up. I smiled
weakly at her.
"Come on, l lets get some tables," He said. I nodded. He grabbed my hand and lead me to a table inside of The Three Broomsticks.
A
snort escaped from my lips. I couldn't help it! Tony was explaining
about a story about his youngeg siblings. I slammed my hand slightly on
the table. Tony, laughing, took another sip of butterbeer. Giggles came
in hoards out of my mouth.
"Your little sister really said that?" I asked, trying to cover up my laughing fit. It didn't help. Tony nodded.
"Rani! Hey!" A voice called. I wiped away the stray tears that leaked friends on my eyes. It was Crysa.
"He-hey Crysa," I breathed out a sigh. She chuckled.
"You
guys having a fun time over here?" She asked. Tony and I nodded. I
hadn't even noticed that our hands were linked. Crysa pulled a chair
over and sat in it.
"Is there anything else I can get you?" She asked, smiling.
"Yes, one bucket of fried puppies," Tony tried to say seriously. I flung my head back in laughter. Crysa looked at my strangely.
"I'm
sorry, I'm sorry. Yeah, I'd like a cheese burger please with a side
of…fried puppies," I whispered the last part. Tony and I tried to
contain our laughter, but it didn't work.
"And for you?" Crysa asked, shaking her head but smiling.
"I'm Okay," Tony said. As Crysa walked away, Tony whispered, "fried puppies." I burst into another laughing fit.
Ton and I walked hand in hand around Hogsmead.
"That was fun," I said, swinging our hands. Tony nodded.
"Yeah, it was," he agreed. We were silent for a second.
"Serana?" He piped up suddenly.
"Yeah?" I returned. He looked at me.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked so suddenly, I fell over.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said it so quickly," he said, wide eyed. I shook my head as he helped me up.
"It's Okay, just shocked is all," I brushed the Autumn leaves off My pants, "Yeah. I'd love to be your girlfriend."
Tony grinned.
"Great!"
He sweeped me off My feet, literally. He grabbed my shins and the
middle of my back and picked me up. He ran around with me, screaming and
laughing. He dumped me in a huge pile of leaves. I glared at him,
trying to hold in my laughter. He was laughing so hard at my face, it
made me laugh. He helped me out of the leaves. We continued walking
around until we had to leave.
"WHAT HAPPEN SERANA LONGBOTTOM?!?!?
SPEAK WORDS RIGHT NOW OR NO WILL KILL YOU!" Cissy screamed at me, once
we were in the Carriages. We were soon met by another group of four
people, who I really didn't want to see. I laughed at Cissy persistence.
"Well, the date was great-"
"DATE?!
What date?" Remus whispered angrily to Sirius. Remus, Peter, and Sirius
were sitting on the far end of the Carriage, and James sat next to me. I
could feel that sadness radiating off of him.
I glared at Remus.
"We laughed a lot. Him And I are really great together-"
"DID HE ASK YOU TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND THOUGH?" Cissy screeched, shaking my by my shoulders.
"Well, yeah," I laughed slightly.
"What did you say?" Sirius asked, butting in.
"Will
you shut up Black? I wasn't even talking to you! Anyway, I of course
said yes. He got really happy and dumped me into a pile of leaves. Then I
came back here. Maybe he'll ask me to the Hollowe'en Dance," I thought
aloud.
"Of course he's going to! It's probably implied that you
go with him, since he's your boyfriend," Cissy emphasased the boyfriend,
just to annoy Sirius. But he was silent. Silent but deadly. Wow, who
know it could hurt so much for him to say nothing at all.
The carriage stopped. Cissy and I got out and started chit chatting again, when someone tapped my shoulder. I turned. James.
