The Departure Of Nymphadora Tonks

Chapter 22

"Hey, Mum? Can I Go over to Ted's house for a couple of days?" I sheepishly asked my mum, poking my head into her study.

"Yes
dear, but be careful. There's been talk of some strange men wondering
around." Not once did she look up from her papers. I shrugged it off and
went upstairs. www.polyvore.com/depature_nymphad...

I packed
clothes for the last five days of summer before school started again.
Mum had already gone to Diegon Alley for supplies. I pulled my rucksack
along behind me as I jumped downstairs.

"Bye, Frank. See ya at school," I hugged my brother before skipping out the door. 'Dromeda was Waiting for me.

"Hey 'Dromeda," I beamed at her.

"Hey, Rain. How was your summer? Besides the play." She trailed off slightly.

"Great! I made two new muggle friends and found this great bookstore!" I exclaimed.

"Fun!
Grab onto my arm." She held out her right arm and I grabbed it. I felt
like I was being squeezed into an already packed lift then zooming up to
the top of the bullet in point 0.2 seconds. When I reajested myself, I
realized we were in front of a different house. It wasn't huge, but it
wasn't tiny.

"This is Ted and My place," 'Dromeda beamed, "but we
don't share a room or anything." She added quickly, holding up her
hands. I laughed. We walked up to the door.

"Knock, knock!" I yelled, purposefully pronouncing the 'k'.

"Dora,
Rain and 'Dromeda are back," the familiar sound of Ted's voice rang
through the door. I heard the door unlock and saw Tonks' head pop out of
the house.

"Rain! Come in! Com on!" She opened the door wide. I rolled in my rucksack.

"Hey 'Dromeda," Ted kissed 'Dromeda, right there. I smiled.

"It's disgusting really. Been doing it all summer," Tonks cringed. I laughed.

"Here,
I'll show you to our room." She dragged me through a hallway and into a
door. The room I appeared in was a beautiful sight. It was a semi
circle with a huge window in the back showing the pond in the backyard.
Two curved beds Sat on either side of the room. The colours of the walls
changed every 10 seconds. There were pictures of happy kids and smiling
parents spinning in circles and laughing. I touched the glass.

"Like it?" Tonks asked, her voice pull on me out of the beauty.

"It's marvelous," I beamed.

"Great! I hoped you'd like it! Let me show you the backyard," she grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room.

"Where are you girls going?" Ted called.

"Outside
to look around!" Tonks replied with a smile. I laughed. We made it
outside. There was a pong, right in the middle of the yard. It wasn't
huge, but it wasn't terribly small either. A duck swan around in it
aimlessly. Tonks and I plopped down in the grass.

"How have your full moons been?" Tonks pipped up. My eyes widened.

"How did you-"

"Oh, I have my ways of knowing things," she smirked at me,"OK, OK! You dropped your diary."

She handed me my leather bound book.

"Thanks,
Tonks. They've been fine. I'm mostly just running around trees and
stuff, eating snakes, rabbits, birds. It's disgusting, really," I
cringed.

"When are you telling Lily and everyone else?" She rolled onto her side. I shrugged.

"When it's necessary."

"Tell me honestly, did you like the kiss you and Sirius shared?"

I rolled to face her.

"So it started with being a werewolf, now we're onto kissing? Wow, Tonks," I rolled my eyes.

"I'm serious, Rain," She looked me straight in the eye. I got up and walked back inside.

The next night, Tonks, 'Dromeda, and I were sitting around fire, reading.

"Dinner's
ready girls!" Ted yelled from the kitchen. 'Dromeda immediately stood
up and ran towards him. Tonks and I stayed to read a bit longer.

BANG

The
door erupted in a loud sound. Tonks and I lifted our heads. The sound
came again. Tonks' hair turned black. It must have ment fear. Closing my
book and grabbing my wand, I crept towards the door.

"Rain!"
Tonks hissed. I waved her off. I reached out to touch the door, when it
blew up. The hard wood pushed me to the side, trapping me.

"Rain!" Thonks yelled. Five men, all dressed in black with silver masks, marched in. Ted and 'Dromeda came of the kitchen.

"Stupify!" Ted yelled at the closest man.

"Avada Kedabra!" A man screamed. Tonks just barely dodged it. I pushed the door off me and grabbed my wand.

"Patrificas Totales!" The nearest man to me froze immediately and fell over.

"Run
girls!" Ted ordered us. Tonks and I looked at each other and ran
towards our room. I grabbed my rucksack, and the pair of us ran towards
the back door. One man followed us.

"Avada Kebabra!" The green light shot past me.

"Ha!
You missed!" I taunted, looking at him. As I looked back forwards, I
tripped. I turned back to see what I tripped on. He had missed me, but
he hadn't missed his target. His target wasn't me. His target was Tonks.

"TONKS! No!" I screamed. I crawled back to her.

"Expelliarmus!" I shouted. The man flew backwards. I curled myself over Tonks, sobbing.

"Tonks. Wake up, we have to run. They'll come after us," I weeped. The man that killed Tonks regained his poster.

"Rain! Dora!" 'Dromeda screamed. I looked up. Her and Ted were running out the door.

"Frank,
please help me. I need you," I thought. Mum had always said Frank and I
had some sort of twin connection. I just hopped it was true. All five
men were coming at me, I had to act quick. I stood up. I had no other
choice.

I got mad.

I watched as the world shrunk, as the
men's paces slowed, as my hands became paws. I jumped and latched myself
onto the nearest Man. I at his back, front, and sides. I was so angry,
my ears canceled out the screams. I did the same to the next three.

I
jumped at the next and last man, but he ready for my attack. He waved
his wand and I smashed into a hall table. It broke instantly, stabbing
me in multiple places. I whimpered.

"Stupid, girl. Thinking you
could defeat the Dark Lord? Ha!" The man laughed. That voice, it was
familiar. It was him who killed Tonks! I caught a glance of my friends
body. The anger returned with a new burst of energy. I leapt onto his
back, and gave him the same fate as the others. He was dead shortly
after.

I snatched his mask in my paw, and let out a yelp. He
looked almost exactly like Sirius and Regulus. I looked round me. I
killed them. It was me. I howled and ran out the door. My senses lead
the way. I came upon a familiar village, and tried to turn back to my
human self.

I heard laugh in, though I could not see through my
tears. I knew it was the Muggles. Why would they laugh at me? I'm in
pain. I came upon the shop I was looking for. I opened the door to the
book store and let out a scream before collapsing to the ground.

"Hello? Gran! Something's happened!"
