The Weekly Read

wow! it has been such a long time. I left HiH for a while, and forgot to come back! that's just my scatterbrain though. I'm back now, and i hope to stay back! here is the second entry of the weekly read. (even though it's a year later, I hope you enjoy!)

                       social media 

The first section in the weekly read, is going to be social media. I for one are not a fan of social media, but that doesn't mean I don't use it. I do have limits for myself though. my phone shuts off after I use a certain amount of social media. this website, of course, is one of my favourite social meda type things. TikTok is definetly a popular app out there in the world. does anyone reading this knwo what fairy-tok is? it happened a long time ago, on tiktok. everyone was pretending to be fairies, and everyone had a lot of fun making those videos. I hadn't seen such videos like that in a long time, except for yesterday. I was scrolling on youtube shorts, and I come across a video of someone doing some pretend fairy flying. the videos are sometimes a bit odd, but they give me a cool, magical feeling on the inside. only hogwarts fans know what I mean. SnapChat is also quite cool, and I like it because I can see when people screenshot, share or look at thiings I send them. one thing I don't like though, is how obsessed people are. like, for example, i'll be sitting, hanging out with friends and they'll get a Snapchat notification. then, they immediately open it, and respond. the part I don't get though, is that the snap/picture, is a blank photo of the wall or the ceiling. I do send pictures like that, but I don't get mad if someone doesn't look at it. they aren't getting any benefit from looking at my ceiling, so why say things like "ugh she left me on delivered" when it's a blank photo. that's it for today's social media section! messgae me ideas for what to put in next weeks social media section!

                             music

online statistics prove that this week, the most popular song is "flowers" by Mylie Cyrus. I think this song is very good, and it definetly proves a point. the one thing I do have to say though, is that popular songs such as this one get played so often, that people get tird of it after a few weeks. I think if popular songs were played a little less online and a little more on the radio, they would be appreciated a little more. This section also closely ties in with the "social media" section. That's because, songs are often put on social media, before anywhere else. Then, it gets so popular, that by the time radio station play it, everyone doesn't like it as much anymore. if you have any music information for next week, message me!

                             sports 

everyone here knows that quidditch is the Hogwarts sport. I don't have anything to say about quiditch, but if you do, contact me. As for muggle sports, spring sports are getting started! baseball, soccer, running, biking, softball, lacrosse, and lots more! I myself will be playing soccer, softball, and closer to the summer, BMX racing. the NHL season is getting close to an end. My famly members are pretty obsessed with the Winnipeg jets. I am not much of a hockey fan, but I do watch the games with them. I am a fan of baseball though! I enjoy watching the Toronto Blue Jays. they play quite well! I am aware that this sports section was mostly about me, but next week i will try to have an interveiw with someone who plays sports from HiH. if you play sports, contact me. 

                                HiH

This section will be quite simple. I will write about things that are going on at HiH.  Not much new is happening here. the last big update that was recorded was around june of last year. this update made dorms more like groups/organizations/clubs. therre was also an update, fixing bugs in the library. the article also states that the library is still a work in progress. I wonder what they could mean by that. what are they working on?
