Witchcraft 2: I don’t want to go to Hogwarts
Chapter 2
1971, Balleymena – Sitting on the sofa, Rodrick levitates flames from the fireplace by moving the fingers of his right hand. Henry makes an appearance; with his wand he shoots a blast of water to put out the flames and soaks the boy.
Henry: Rodrick, I already told you not to practice with fire while I'm gone, it is dangerous.
Rodrick: I'm sorry dad.
Henry: I bring news, you were accepted at Hogwarts, classes start on September 1st.
Rodrick: Hogwarts!? I want to go to Durmstrang Institute and be a Darfor just like my parents!
Henry: Calm down, you will go to Hogwarts, and we will not talk about it anymore, tomorrow we are going to Ollivander's for your wand.
Rodrick: But I don't need a wand (pouting)
Henry: You will have it, it is a requirement among the study materials, and it will help you control your magic better, Wilfor will deliver your mail at Hogwarts.
Rodrick: Wilfor is already so old, that silly owl must have burned down with the house, the other day I saw him voting feathers and I thought its final day had come.
Henry: Wilfor is special, it has served the Heidrich family for a century, it is half owl and half phoenix so once it dies comes back to life.
Rodrick: When I be the head of the house, I will give him his well-deserved retirement.
Henry: You will do nothing with Wilfor, it is a very loyal servant, you should be grateful to have it.
Rodrick: What if I get expelled from Hogwarts?
Henry: I already spoke to Principal Dumbledore about it, I told him that you would try to get you expelled and that I will accept that he imposes ANY other punishment on you, even a cruciatus curse if necessary.
Rodrick: Only a monster would accept that someone do such a thing to his son.
Henry: Rawrrr!
The next day they went to Ollivander's in Diagon Alley where after trying several wands Rodrick ended up with an 11 inch long cypress wand with a reasonably flexibility and phoenix feather core, when he finally found the right wand, a smile was drawn on the concerned Ollivander's face Who had never had so much trouble finding the right wand for a young wizard and said "It's always an honor to give a cypress wand, oddly enough this wand has a twin, I wonder who I'll give the one I got? Only time will tell". The rest of the afternoon Henry and his son shopped for the list materials for Rodrick's first year at Hogwarts.
