In HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN Buckbeak was introduced to the students in Hagrids class COMC (Care of Magical Creatures) When Hagrid asked who wanted to come up to pet him, everyone stepped back but Harry. When Harry bowed to Buckbeak, Hagrid made him move away because he was afraid that Buckbeak might hurt Harry. Hermione got frightened and held rons hand. Buckbeak was sentenced to death. The trio stood far away and tried to watch. When the man threw down the axe, Hermione put her arms around Ron and started crying. Then, Ron's rat scabbers bit his finger and all that fun stuff. Let's skip forward. While Sirius is talking to Harry about living with him, Hermione and Ron are sitting next to each other talking about Ron's leg because of what Sirius in dog form did.
