This is a story I wrote for a DADA assignment. It is shorter than a usual short story, but I hope you like it. Maybe someday I will write an actual book on this one :)

Betrayed

Loki's sent me on another scavenger hunt, this time to find him. He's the son of a Dark Lord and it's kind of a forbidden relationship. So, he likes to send me on wacky hunts to find him. If anyone knew we were dating, well, it wouldn't be allowed. This time his first clue is, "Go where the big tree stands and look up." He probably means the Whomping Willow, he knows I like trying to get past the branches. I go over to the tree, dodging branches this way and that. one branch hits me and I get a gash over my eye. When I look up I don't see anything. But then I remember one of Loki's favorite spells, the Verdimillious Charm. He likes it because it has two versions. Maybe he hid a Dark Object with it. Hopeful, I say "Verdimillious!" and circle my wand in the sky. I watch as the sparks fly up into the air, revealing a tube like object that falls. When it hits the ground I take it and run, getting out of the Whomping Willow's way. I quickly open it and see a paper, but it's blank. I stare at it confused, why would he give me a blank piece of paper? But then the thought comes to me,and it seems so obvious. His other favorite spell is the Revealing Charm. We learned it in the same lesson as the Verdimillious Charm. I point my wand at the paper and say, "Aparecium". I see a bright purple glow, the paper says, "Meet me at the cliff's edge." Huh. That seems just, blunt, not like Loki at all. I make my way to Dead Man's Peak, the closest cliff to Hogwarts. I look longingly back at the big school, I miss when I was young and innocent, just wanting to learn everything I could. As I look at the cliff, I see a dark and shadowy figure standing at the edge. It must be Loki, right? But it doesn't look like the right body shape, Loki is kind of skinny and normal sized. This guy looks bigger and taller. As I go closer, I start to realize that. this isn't Loki. In fact it looks exactly like his father. When he turns around, I realize that it is his father! I go to run, but curiosity gets the better of me, I ask "Why are you here?" 

He sneers "Did you really think that Loki loved you? He has been spying on you this whole time, telling me all your secrets. I know every little thing about your past, and you'll never be safe again."

My mind can't comprehend what he just said, but years as a spy for the Secret Organization of Spys, (or SOS) have my body trained to know what to do. I say, "Verdimillious" for the second time tonight, this time with a sobs choking out. As my wand points to Loki's father, he writhes and starts to scream. My spell is more powerful now because of all the emotions running through me. I run, hoping to find the best place to hide. The hurt of his betrayal will hurt me for a long time, if not forever.
