Diary of a First-Year Hufflepuff
It’s me, Grace. I’m a first-year Hufflepuff who likes to write my day at Hogwarts. I hope you find my diary interesting and enjoyable and I hope that future generation first-years will also learn as they go, just like I did. Many of these entries are based on actual events happening in my life, but obviously I twist the stories a little to make them more magical!

Hogwarts Daily News
Chapter 19
Dear Diary,
I am currently relaxing in the Hufflepuff common room with some music. I'll be going down to the Great Hall for dinner soon. Anyways, I forgot to mention a few things! I am a reader of the Daily Prophet, and I am ALSO a reader of the Hogwarts Daily News. The HDN is a very reliable and informative source for all students who go to Hogwarts. Did you know the HDN is also written by some intelligent Hogwarts students themselves (years vary)! I was hoping to become part of the HDN team and help, so I immediately contacted a high-up team member named Belle. I requested an internship as a journalist AND advertiser. A journalist simply writes the information that the researchers and given them, and the advertiser goes around the school and advertises the HDN and top articles, new Issues, things like that. Belle is very nice and gave me a form to apply. I am really hoping I can help the HDN! Wish me luck!
Anyways, onto a new topic: Today. Today wasn't the best day. Got a paper cut on my finger which started bleeding. Then during Quidditch practice, I was hit right on the head by some boys, ouch! Luckily we were using the training balls so they were slightly softer, otherwise I'd really be hurt! At least I didn't have to go to the Hospital Wing. My friend couldn't come to Quidditch practice for other reasons, so I was pretty lonely during Quidditch. We also had another Troll Drill! Well, it was NOT a drill this time. The Troll alarms went off and everything, only later to discover it was a false alarm caused by unknown reasons. Anyways, I have to go to the Great Hall now. I'll write soon.
XOXO,
Grace
