Chapter One- Preparing
Chapter 1
Everyone little witch and wizards dream is to graduate from Hogwarts. Enviously, they eye the older students who parade out of the castle, ready to pursue a magical career. But when they finally receive their letter, more often than not, young witches ad wizards are not quite prepared for all that Hogwarts has in store for them. However, fear not! For here is your guide to the first yer at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The first step to anything is preparation, and preparing for Hogwarts is no acception. Diagon Alley is a busy place and it is so easy for folks to become distracted and forget a certain item on their list. Please be sure when shopping to constantly check your list for items you may have skipped over.
After you are positive that you have everything your first year shopping list calls for, it is time to place it in the trunk that will accompany you to Hogwarts. A good rule of thumb is to place robes and textbooks on the bottom, and more fragile items you may have brought along such as brass scales and remembralls on the top.
Arguably the most important things to have handy when you arrive are your robes, wand, and a quill wth parchment. Never know when the time comes to take notes. The task of enrolling and getting set up can be daunting. Not to worry. The first thing you need is a dorm. A place to relax and study. To create one, go to the blue menu and click on the "Hogwarts" tab. On the drop down list, pick "Hogwarts Dorms". If you do not know anyone, all is good! You will meet people in good time. For now, click "create a dorm" and memorize the number. From their you can hit the button in the top corner that allows you to name your dorm. Edit Dorm Settings. Once this is set up, you are ready to enroll in your courses.
