The unfulfilled sacrifice.
Chapter 8
The death eaters were getting frustrated; they were indeed losing. Dark magic was useless when you have so many skilled wizards and witches on the other side. They needed to win; they couldn’t let the man who killed their lord live. If he was out of the way, they could begin another chapter. Introduce another dark lord more powerful than the last. But to win they needed to be ruthless and cruel like their master. They needed to use the spell that made Harry Potter famous. They needed to use the killing curse. The death eaters looked at each other making obvious eye contact before chanting ‘AVADA KADAVRA’ unison. Powerful blasts of green light appear out of their want tips and shoot towards Harry and his friends. Everyone turned their heads where the noise came from. A deafening silence overtook the manor. Could this be the end? As a teenager Harry could only block the killing curse because Voldemort and his wand were brothers. Thus, he could only win if the death eaters were using Voldemort's wand, which they obviously were not. He couldn’t think of any other way to block the curse other than sacrifice. Harry positioned himself forward, blocking the path between the death eaters and his family and friends. Now the curse would only hit him. He was going to do what his mum had done for him. He was finally going to be able to pay everyone back for all the unnecessary deaths he caused. For all the pain people had gone through because of him. It was his turn.
