I have never given much thought to what I would do when faced with someone who wanted my magic. Would I be brave and fight, or would I run and hide? Being a Muggle-Born Canadian wizard in her fifth year at Hogwarts, and in Gryffindor no doubt, I should be brave. I am brave. At least, I didn't know how brave I was until the day it happened. That day in the Forbidden Forest was when my life changed forever, and it happened so fast I had to rely on my best friend and another to help me. The amulet that I once held close to had magical powers beyond my knowledge, and that prompted some events to emerge. Events that would transform me and the life I chose permanently.

I also never thought about what I would do if the one that I love had a secret behind my back. Would I be the one to walk away, or would I give him a second chance? He had a secret. A secret that was pretty big and that it involved me. He never got to tell me about it until it was too little, too late. I couldn't believe that after all of this time, he lied. The one person I thought I could rely on lied about who he is, and more importantly, why I was the one he chose.

The Forbidden Forest seemed to carry all of the secrets, and I was just lucky enough to be the one to watch them unfold.
