Noah dragged himself out of bed, he hated mornings, it was the worst part of the day. He walked to breakfast, passing a girl called Elizabeth on his way down. He smiled at her, but embarressed, turned back to his friend. His friend Bear, made the excuse to pop to the bathroom whilst it was breakfast, leaving Noah to sit by himself at breakfast, he was opposite Elizabeth, and her friend, was it Mia? They chatted, not mentioning anything remotely intresting, but Elizabeth was only half-listening, she fumbled with her straw, dreamily looking at the grand hall.

Stop. 

He noticed that he had been staring at Elizabeth the enitre breakfast, Noah got up to brush his teeth and realised he had missed the morning letters. He cursed and went back to the dormitory. A while later, he noticed everyone coming back, including Bear, who was talking to another boy. Elizabeth walked up to him and gave him a letter,

"Your owl came over to me and dropped it on my lap," She smiled, as she turned to go Noah blurted,

"Wait! Uh, I mean - thanks I guess," He stuttered. Elizabeth rolled her eyes at her friend Mia, Noah slapped his hand onto his forehead when she turned around.
