Elizabeth giggled to herself as she entered the hall, she pulled her cloak tighter around herself as she spied a couple of people staring at her. She noticed the neat arrangements in the hall and felt very aware of her futre. She hoped with all her might that she'd be in Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, but she didn't mind as all faces looked friendly. 

As she turned to her best friend Mia, she noticed that she was dreamily staring at the headmistress, Elizabeth whispered to her to stop as staring was rude, and first impressions were everything. She stopped as the line halted, waiting for her name to be called. 

'Mia Almond' Gryffindor.

'Marcus Green' Hufflepuff.

'Olive Raymond' Slytherin.

'Mason Alfred' Ravenclaw.

'Tellulah Bemends' Gryffindor.

'Maggie Wynd' Ravenclaw.

'Kai Baker' Hufflepuff.

'Isabella Ryhmeed' Ravenclaw.

'Elizabeth Orca,' This was it, this was her chance. Elizabeth walked up to the hat, a professor putting it gently on her head, it covered her eyes but she couldn't help herself blushing as the whole hall stared at her. Please Hufflepuff, she wished.

'GRYFFINDOR!" The sorting hat bellowed, the whole of Gryffindor table skreiked and clapped with excitment and she sat down next to her best friend. Mia smiled at her and Elizabeth knew this year would be great. A few more 1st years were sorted, the last one being a boy named Noah Carp. She caught gaze of him and their eyes connected, the whole hall freezing while they stared, everything went in slow-motion as he walked, Elizabeth tore her eyes away, getting back into the conversation.
