Dark Flower

When Lucius Malfoy went to collect baby Harry Potter he wasn't counting on there being two babies at the Potter Ruins. He also wasn't counting on grabbing the wrong one by accident. And he wasn't counting on keeping the young girl with shining emerald eyes either.

Chapter 2

“Hey Zia, do you know whether you are going to Hogwarts or not?” Azalea’s twin brother, Draco Malfoy asked.

“I hope so, I mean, all my friends are going, and it would be no fun hang out alone for seven years.” Azalea answered.

It was July 31st and Azalea was yet to learn whether she was allowed at Hogwarts. All her friends were going and since she was not allowed to even think about going anywhere until she was 13, a true teenager, as Lucius said, she would be bored out of her mind. Azalea had heard stories about Hogwarts, mainly from Daphne, her friend Astoria’s older sister and Azalea was beyond excited. Daphne was going into her 3rd year and had told many tales about her Hogwarts experience.

“Well, we’d better get back or Aunt Bella will have our heads. Race you?” Azalea said. Draco nodded and the two began to run up to the Malfoy Manor.

They arrived just as the house elves finished dinner. The two sat at the far end of the table while the adults, Narcissa Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, Bellatrix Lestrange, and a few other visiting Death Eaters, gathered at the other side, talking quietly to keep Azalea and Draco from hearing.

Suddenly, Azalea raised her head and began to speak to the adults, “May I ask a question?”

Bellatrix nodded, so Azalea continued, “Am I allowed to go to Hogwarts? I need to know now so I can get my books and robes in Diagon Alley tomorrow.”

“Well, Lucius, Narcissa and I have talked about it and decided that you need a proper education, therefore, yes, you are going to Hogwarts, but you are not going to Diagon Alley. It is simply out of the question. You and Draco are the same height and size, we will just order twice as many robes in his size and get your books and other things when we get his. We can easily set up a private meeting with Ollivander for your wand and that should settle everything. Oh, and speaking of which, Draco I would like to speak with you privately after dinner,” Bellatrix finished. She then turned back to the adults, and they began to speak in hushed tones once again.

Azalea turned back to Draco and grinned, “I’m going to Hogwarts!” she exclaimed, giddy with excitement. Draco smiled back and nodded, happy that his sister was also going to Hogwarts.

“Draco!” Bellatrix called to the blonde boy from the door.

“Coming, Aunt Bella,” Draco said, standing up. He waved to Azalea before following Bellatrix out of the room.

The next morning Draco left with their parents for Diagon Alley, much to Azalea’s dismay. She spent most of the day alone in the garden waiting for Draco to come home so she could hear all about his trip into the real wizarding world. She couldn’t wait until she could go into Diagon Alley too. Azalea didn’t even know why she wasn’t allowed to do the same things as Draco, it had just always been an unspoken agreement between her and her parents.

Azalea jumped up as soon as she saw the green smoke fly up from the chimney. She gathered her things and rushed inside to find Draco and hear all about Diagon Alley.

“Draco!” she cried, “How was it? Did you meet anyone in our year? Is it pretty? Could you feel the magic? Did you-”

“Woah, slow down there. I have something I need to tell you, but I need to tell you when we are alone. Lets go out back,” Draco cut her off.

Azalea nodded, “Okay.

The two walked out back and went straight to their secret hideout under the patio. Draco had found it when they were 7 and it had been their little place ever since. They both sat on their respective beanbags, Draco’s being emerald green, while Azalea’s was a lovely carnation pink.

“So, what did you have to tell me?” Azalea asked.

Draco took a deep breath and began, “So, when I was getting my robes fitted this kid came in, all alone. I asked whether he was going to Hogwarts, and he said yes, we talked for a bit, and he seemed very strange. I mentioned Quidditch and he acted like he had no clue what it was. He seemed so shocked when I told him brooms could fly.”

“Was he a mudblood do you think?” Azalea interrupted.

“I asked him about his parents, and he said they were both magical, but they were dead. A large man came for him later, turns out he works for Hogwarts, anyway that is not the point. The point is that I may be wrong, but I think he might be Harry Potter,” Draco finished.

Azalea paused for second before asking, “Wait, like The Harry Potter?”

“I think so,” Draco replied.

“And he is going to Hogwarts?” Azalea asked.

Obviously. He won’t be a Slytherin though. His dad comes from very Gryffindor blood lines, and we are pure Slytherin.” Draco replied.

Azalea grinned at him, “Father will be so mad if he finds out, but I want to meet him. And give him a piece of my mind for what he did to Lord Voldemort.

Draco nodded in agreement but looked quite uncomfortable.
