Week 3-"Tools of the Trade"; Brewing Basics
Cauldron: A round almost bowl shaped container in which potions are brewed
- The materials that they are made of vary depending on what is most prevelant in rhe country
- In Great Britain the most common materials cauldrons are made of are pewter, brass, and copper
- Pewter has the slowest brewing time and is best for beginners as there's more "wiggle room" regarding timing, so to speak
- Brass cauldrons have a medium brewing speed and they are best for witches and wizards who have a good grasp on brewing times and methodology, but they are slightly more expensive than pewter
- Copper has the fastest brewing time and only a skilled witch or wizard should use them as there is a increased chance of making a mistake
- There are other matierials that cauldrons can be made of but they tend to be rarer and more exspensive
- These other matierials include gold, silver and fire crab shells
