Chapter 2

Although the blazing sun, leaking through the corridor curtains of my Ravenclaw common room, attempted to expand my optimism and jubilation, I revolved around my diabolical and vengance-inducing plan. Staring into the plastered, shimmering stars upon the domed ceiling, I was oblivious to the soft chatter of the birds, and the accusations that were advancing toward me. I was oblivious to reality, and thus stared into my envisionments, smirking at every detail. Snatching my diary, I began to write, step by step, the specific details intertwined within my plan. Either Cordelia or Dawn will become my victim, yet I would still need to be concealed, as to not be shackled by professor's. Specifically, Professor Severus Snape, the potions master.

Although I wish not to explore the history between us, in a century, or so, when the human race may discover this notebook, they might as well become knowledgable to the fact that magic... sorcery... witchcraft... and wizardry is not a feeble tale. And, how much sorcery sounds like, professor's truly resemble.. muggle educators.

Professor Snape, who favorited Dawn and Cordelia, stares over my shoulder practically every single day as I work, attempting to keep my aqua eyes upon the ancient words of Advanced Potion Making. The Living Draught of Death pursued to taunt me, as Snape hovered over me, yet I managed to become top of the class. The villainous Dawn and Cordelia are given perks that my fellow peers and are loathe and yearn to have, yet are swept away, and, hypothetically, shoved into a broom closet.

However, I am the only student who has decided to take action upon these matters, and conjure a diabolical proposal.

Moving away from that dramatic recallment, I dare to share my scheme. The propostion follows as thus:

     1. Collect the ingredients for a specific potion.

     2. Eye Cordelia or Dawn as they work at their stations.

     3. Secretly snatch the Allectomint powder from within my bag and snag it in my wand pocket.

     4. Linger until Cordelia or Dawn, as usual, forget a specific ingredient, and attempt to immiate them, secretly pouring a pinch of the powder into their potion.

     5. Purposely forget an ingredient, and go grab it from the shelves, located at the edge of the room, and observe the detonation.

Smirking, I change into my robes, tie my hair into a determiend bun, and dash toward the dungeons, avoiding the Gryffindor and Slytherin common room. And as I ventured further into the depths of the dungeons, I was oblivious to the mewling of Mrs. Norris, who was extremely near. Clutching my breath, I abruptly froze and jumped against the wall, listening to the call of Mrs. Norris grow fainter and fainter, until it fully distinguished, allowing me to peel away from the decaying, cement walls. Shivering, I softly stepped toward Snape's dedicated potion room, and shut the wooden door, careful as to not let my collection of books give me away.

Slowly, after closing the door, I turned around, facing the flickering flames, positioned upon podiums. My heart pounded in my chest as I began to search for Allectomint, a distinct, silver powder.

Glass viles and beakers met my hands, each labelled in Latin, until I ultimately climbed upon a decaying ladder, staring at the slender viles that met my eye. Lacewing flies, Veritsserum, and Dragon Tongue met my eyes, until I shoved them out of the way, desperate to discover Allectomint.

Moment by moments went by and by, until a frigid, glass vile entered my trembling fingers, labelled 'Explosio pulveris'. Throwing my head back in relief, I replaced my wand with the Allectomint, and dashed out of the potions room, stumbling up the stairs and into the Grand Hall.

However, as I entered, I ran straight into Cordelia, causing her to sneer. George Weasley, who lingered behind her, instantly grabbed her hand and helped her up, staring at me as if I had murdered her completely.

"You filthy scum," Cordelia explained, crossing her arms dramatically. "Do you have a reason for your intrusion?"

"Leave me alone, Cordelia," I retorted, rolling my eyes and shoving past her. A ghastly gasp escaped from her mouth as I scoffed, leaving Cordelia to stomp after me.

"What took you so long to enter the Great Hall, Madeline," she yelled. I ignored her and pursued to walk, until she added, "Oh. I know why you were so late. You were snogging that Draco boy, weren't you?"

Instantaneously, I gagged in my mouth and turned on my heel in horror, watching as Cordelia crossed her arms in triumph. Clearing my throat, I retorted, my voice trembling, "You know I hate him."

"Do I know? Of course. Does the rest of the school know? No."

"Why don't you just leave me alone? If you have nothing good to say, just leave." And with that remark, I rolled my eyes and stomped toward the Ravenclaw table, thrusting my books upon the wooden surface, and throwing my head into my hands.

I absolutely loathed Draco. Everything about him disturbed me, even the way he spoke. His ridiculous face caused me cringe every time I saw him, and his sneering voice tempted me to punch him in the face.
