The Letter

Chapter 1

I woke to the smell of Eggs and Bacon, it was July 26. I was 11 years old and I have two Brothers. Declan, a year younger than me, Dark blue eyes, dark hair that was partly curly at it’s ends. His hair was almost over his eyes. He has freckles like me, but a few more. He was interested  in Muggle toys, especially a brand called Nerf. He was like our Uncle Arthur, interested in muggle tools, except he would fire Nerf bullets at innocent Animals and his own siblings. Yes, we’re wizards and My mother was sorted into Hufflepuff (Which is weird all of her brothers went into Gryfindor, and her brother Arthur’s children that have gone to Hogwarts so far are all in Gryffindor.)
Then there’s Conor. Light brown hair almost dirty Blonde. Blueish eyes that are so light, his eyes are almost grey. He’s sorta a nerd, he makes potions in his room, and sometimes we hear an explosion in his room. When that happens, his room is covered in ashes, his hair is burn’t and a bit on fire, his face is always covered in ashes. His beaker is always cracked. When he doesn’t set anything on fire, he is a genius.
When I opened my door to get breakfast, a plastic and rubber toy bullet shot past my ear, in front of an open window in the hallway stood Declan holding 2 nerd guns, exempt each had only 1 dart. He fired that last one and it hit me in the forehead.
“Seeya Sister! HAHAHA!!” Declan yelled jumping out the window. I screamed, running to the opened window. I saw that mom’s plants weren’t ruined (thank god, she would’ve been so angry, she might've killed him), and Declan wasn’t there. Conor’s door opened. He looked at me with the dart on my forehead, which then fell off.
“Declan flew past my window on his broom stick, he doesn’t want to gnome the garden. Dad is going to get him to do it.” He said looking at me not impressed. Thats when i grew angry, I did care for my brothers but had a hard way of showing it. I wanted to beat Declan to a pulp. My parents say I’m short-tempered, and stubborn as a bull (That’s my zodiac sign, I’m tarsus the bull).
“Kelsey, Declan, Conor! Breakfast!” Our mother called from the kitchen on the first floor. Conor ran down stairs and I followed behind. My dark brown hair flying threw the air as i raced past my youngest brother.
When I got down stairs, I heard yelling from my dad. He had caught my brother. the front door opened and my dad dragging my brother to his room literally.  Conor was almost down the stairs when my father got to the foot of the stairs. HE got out of the way, and Declan was pulled up the stiars.
This is pretty normal for my wizarding family. I walked up the the table to take my seat, and I saw my name amonst the mail. I picked up the envelope. “To Ms. K. O’Carroll. The O’Carroll Family house.” It read. my heart seemed to speed up. This was the letter I waited to come since i heard about Hogwarts. It was my Hogwarts Letter.
