Dear diary, 

I'm sorry for leaving such a big ink stain on you yesterday, I fell quite asleep by accident. Today wasn't so bad but it could have been better, at least nobody knows I write in a diary. Today when I walked into the hall somebody pointed at me and yelled, "Hey - its Slytherdor girl!" 

I pulled my hood over my head and sat down, ignoring rude snorts as I did so, Nora smiled at me but I was too embarressed to reply. I quickly ate something and ran off to class, ignoring the laughs and points. Why does is have to be me? I got a letter from Dad today, he wants to know what house I'm in, I've tucked it into my bag and not looked at it since. I know if I tell him the truth I will get a howler, so what do I do? 

I will get punished if I tell him the truth, so surely I should just lie, but it doesn't feel right to lie, I never do. I don't think mum will even speak to me now I'm at Hogwarts, so if I upset Dad I'll have no one. I'm going to lie.
