"Astronomy" is defined as the study of the universe

Muggles and Wizards have various approaches that can be advantages or limitations with astronomy. The advantage of the wizarding world is magic. astrology which is the study of how events inspace affect the events of people on Earth, is an important sub-field of astronomy practiced in the magical world. However, to call a Muggle astronomer's field of study "astrology" is a big mistake because it would make him very angry. Muggle astronomy is highly respected. Muggles are very fascinated by the universe, the stars and the sky; unlike the Wizards, who as we know, the arrangement of the stars can predict the future and that the full moon can transform a simple man into a werewolf if bitten by another werewolf.
