In ancient times, magic was practiced much more freely than today. In ancient Greece and Egypt, witches and wizards were held in high regard, magic was used to protect tombs. From 1000 d. C. the wizarding world began to separate from the Muggles which for about 400 years was ruled by the Council of Sorcerers. In the 1400s, various magical governments were established based on ethnic and cultural values as well as location. Throughout the 1600s, witches and wizards were persecuted by sending them to the stake even though this practice was ineffective since the spell of freezing the flame could be used. This spell consists in the fact that the fire does as an effect only the light tickle the witch in question, then pretended to writhe and pretend to burn so that she was safe. These problems ended with the introduction of the International Statute of Secrecy in 1689. This law completed the separation of the two worlds. The law was created to protect magical and non-magical communities because when witch trials began to fade, witches and wizards sought revenge on Muggles for past behavior. Magic was used to hurt, deceive and confuse Muggles and there was a need to intervene. Each government became responsible for hiding all evidence of magical activity within its borders, including the magical flora and fauna of the Wizarding World. Even though the law was signed in 1689 it took another 3 years for it to be established by all governments internationally. In the centuries that followed, magic became only a legend for Muggles, it was the fruit of fairy tales, stories and even contemporary literature. However, it must be remembered that all these stories are true and when the encounter is too serious, the Ministry of Magic must intervene with a memory spell. Another very important law is that anyone under the age of 17 falls within the guidelines of the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Witchcraft to Minors established in 1875, so no student is allowed to practice magic outside of school unless be it a life-and-death situation involving a witch, wizard or muggle.
The first wands begin to be built in 382 BC. C. from the Ollivander family, however they were not very safe in fact they could cause serious damage or explode. Primitive tools such as crystals, crude wands made of little more than a hippogriff wing feather wrapped around a staff, and metal rods allowed some to exert some level of control over their magic. The wand, which is carved from a wooden tree containing a core of a powerful magical creature, allows us to focus and channel our power to achieve the desired result. Thanks to these modern wands they allow witches and wizards to spend less time worrying about their wand exploding and more time experimenting with different spells and gestures.
We conclude at the end with the teaching of the spell of lighting the wand. This spell allows you to light the tip of the wand and create light, the first use of this spell dates back to the 18th century. This spell far exceeds the simple lighting of the wand as it can also change its light color, in fact this use is used for fun by young people but also by the Ministry of Magic to cast a vote.
