Chapter 2
It was raining hard, the end of the school year. She had just changed into her pajamas and picked up her favourite book; Romeo and Juliet, a classic. All of a sudden she heard a tapping on the window.
"What is that?" she said. She drew the curtains and opened the window but there was nothing there. "Huh, must have been a twig or..." SMACK an owl right in the face, "ow, what the...?" 'hoot hooot hoot'*. As it shook its leg towards her and started pecking her on the hand she realised that it had a note attached to its leg. Once she had untied it the owl flew out of her window leaving her alone in her room with the mysterious letter in her hand. She sat on her bed and slowly with shaking hands she opened the envelope.
"MUM, DAD! Guess what!" she screamed running down the stairs full of energy so happy and excited. She was a witch! It was the best news ever.She wasn't a freak but a witch it explained everything.
