Chapter 3
Meanie Mia was staring Dream strait in the eyes. "I know what you can do." She repeated. "Um, what is it I can do?" Dream fumbled with her next words. "Well, you fall asleep right when the teacher gets there. It's like your allergic to the teacher or something." Mia said. "Well, she is... she is my mom!" Dream's eyes lit up with an excuse. "Mrs. Plum is your mom? I don't belive it. Your last name is Sugar and hers is Plum." Mia accused. "Well, you see," I thought Dream had finally given up, but she seemed that she was still going. "Mrs. Plum is her first name." Dream announced. "Now. Would you like to talk about anything else or are you done?" Mia looked startled at this question. "Well, I-I-I-I guess I'm done." She finished confidently and walked off to her table.
"Well. That was splended." Dream, Flame, and I were on our special rock. It was as big as three chairs and it was covered in sand. We all called it Sandy. It was so soft, and Dream brought a big blanket every time so we could sit on it. Sandy was off in the corner of the feild, and it had a lot of tree's around it. Some were so close that we could lean back and put our backs on them and still be sitting on Sandy. We always gathered here at recess. It was 45 minutes so we got a lot to talk about. "Ya tell me about Mia. Isn't she just a buzz kill?" Flame said. "I mean, all people have good inside, but her? Well, I don't know about her." I said. The wind fluttered around me and laughed. I giggled. "What is the wind telling you now? Who secret is it?" Dream inquired. "Oh, it just told me that Mia has an older brother that teases her a lot." I chuckled. We all laughed. "What does he say?" I wispered in windish. The wind swirled and fluttered. "Hahaha! That's halarious!" I laughed.
Windish is the launguage that I spoke to talk with the wind. Only people of the wind can talk to it, and Dream and Flame can't either. Flame talks to fire in Firess, (fire-ess) and Dream doesn't have a element, but she talks through other people. At the beggining of our friendship, Dream swore an oath that she would never use her powers agenst me, and she would never use them on me. Can't say the same about Flame though. Sometimes, when Dream is asleep, Flame acts weird. Then again, Flame always acts weird. "So. Mia thought she knew. We need to be more careful." Dream announced. "This is the idea I bring to the table." She smiled. "Well, I think we should keep doing it." Flame countered. "If we stop, Mia will get suspisious. This is the idea I bring to the table."
I smiled. It was always fun being the judge. "Ok men." I said in a deep manly voice. "The judge will now decide who has the better idea." I paused, thinking. "Ok. The judge has decided that Dream will be correct!" I clapped my hands and so did Dream. She stood up and took a bow to the imaginary audience. "Wait guys do you hear that?" Flame seemed startled. "Yes, I hear it too. What is it?" Dream said. I strained my eares. It sounded like someone was screaming. Suddenly, people all around us started screaming and pointing. Ashes were falling to the ground from the sky. Black flames were towering from the school. Teachers started gathering up students and rushing them toward the busses. I looked around. "Wait! Dream! Where is Flame?!" I screamed. Dream pointed a shaking finger at the school. Flame was charging head first toward it!
