Chapter 1
"Great" I muttered gritting my teeth. I rammed the force of my body again against the, very solid, wall. I heard a crack. Checking my shoulder to see if it was broken, I was shocked to see it wasn't. My eyes flickered over to the brick wall, a small piece of brick had broken off and no there was a hole big enough for a sole eye to see through. Wow, I thought, I'm really making progress. It had taken me 4 years to do that much damage, I doubted I would ever be out of here. My corpse lying in a small empty room, I shuddered, there is no point in thinking about it, I told myself firmly. Even so, an image of a lifeless me came to mind.

"How long will that wall last Ben?" Delia asked in a whisper. I immediately recognized their voices and put my ear to the new hole, that gave me now ultimate hearing. "Don't worry about it" Ben snapped back. "You hear her! Day and night, crashing against that wall, like she might actually be able to brake it!" Delia said raising her voice, then she took a deep breath and said "I'm starting to believe she might" but this time her voice was soft. "It's built to hold in people like her" Ben said real quietly. "I know, I know", I heard the thumps of footsteps heading back down the stairs and a large slam of a door as the left the house.
