My name is Taylor. I’m a black cat. I have a quest but I'm not sure about it yet. One night I was padding through the forest when a rat zipped by me. I wondered why it was running so fast. All of a sudden two toms fell into me and without saying sorry got up and zipped back into the trees.

“ rude!” I called after them. As I got up I soon heard the rat scream. I swiftly zipped through the trees to see the two toms tormenting the rat.

“Hey!” I yelled, “Are you even gonna eat that rat?” 

“ No why” answered one of the toms 

“Because then you can stop tormenting that poor rat”.

“You don’t tell them what to do,” said a strange and low voice. I turned around to see a black and red tom sitting in a tree his tail lashing side to side

“Well if they’re going t-” but I was cut off and on my back

“What did I just say,” said the tom showing his fangs

“ Lay off her Tanner,” said one of the toms Tanner narrowed his eyes then slowly backed off. 

“ Thanks,” I say, “ By the way, what's your name?”.

“ Oh mine is Jacob, this is Chase,” says Jacob, a gray tom.

“Cool name’s my name is Taylor,” I say

“ Ok enough chit-chat Drake will be expecting us soon,” Tanner hisses, padding away. Jacob and chase started to run after him

“ Wait!” I mew running to catch up 

“ yea?” chase the ginger tom asks 

“ Who is Drake?” I meow cocking my head

“ Um he is o-” 

“ That’s classified!” Tanner hisses cutting him off

“Why?” I mew

“ Because it is,” Tanner says, leaping into a tree “Let’s go !” Tanner mewed swiftly moving through the trees and disappearing into the forest

“Bye!” chase meowed “Let’s go Jacob” they both then disappear after Tanner

I looked back to make sure the rat was okay but it had disappeared so I decided to follow them. I soon came across a clan. I leaped up into a tree and looked out. I made eye contact with tanner then quickly pulled my head back in I waited for a few minutes then popped my head back out and saw that tanner was gone leaning out more tanner then jumped out claws unsheathed and hooked his claws on my shoulders falling backward tanner flipped me out of the tree while in mid-air he unhooked his claws and sheathed them as I fell the wind slapped my face like claws racking across my muzzle. I landed with a loud thud on my back while tanner landed on his feet. He then put a paw on me holding me down without effort. I struggled for a bit then gave up 

“ Drake!” He called 

“ Tanner?” asked a she-cat, cocking her head to one side “ who is she?”

“ An intruder call Drake quickly” tanner hissed, staring me down “ can’t believe you had the nerve to follow us!” 

“C’mon tanner let her go you know what Drake does to intruders,” the she-cat said her gaze soft but her eyes stern

“ what will he d-” but I was cut off with a tail in my  mouth tanners tail to be exact 

“Shut up!” Tanner hissed at me showing his fangs

“ he will kill you” the she-cat answered looking at Tanner with a look that said stop being so rude

“Yeah, flowers right we’ll finally get rid of you,” Tanner says turning away from flowers gaze

“Just let her go, Tanner!” Flower pleaded 

“ No!” Tanner said narrowing his eyes 

“ please for me?” Flower mewed her eyes big 

“ Fine!” Tanner Mewes gave up then moved his paw from my chest

“Thanks.” flower ewes licking tanner on the cheek then as she walks away she slips her tail under his chin. She then whispers something in his ear and bounds away. I shake my fur and leap back into a tree but as I was about to turn and go I hear flower ask ¨Is she gone?¨ 

¨ should be also why did you slip your tail under my chin like that you know us being mates is not going to be accepted¨ Tanner mews turning to her. 

¨ I did it because I was thinking why can't I take charge of my own life and be mates with who I want.¨ Flower replied jumping up on a stump in the middle of some June flowers and curling her tail around herself.

¨ Well for starters your Drake's mate, not mine. Besides being the leader's mate comes with perks¨ tanner mews looking up at her. Flower sighed 

¨ I know but it's also a lot of pressure besides I love you¨ Flower says licking the top of Tanner's head. 

¨ I love you too but we just can't...unless-¨

¨ unless what¨ Flower interrupts eager to know 

¨ Unless drake falls in love with some other she-cat like… the one I let go¨ Tanner mews his eyes full of mischief 

¨ Right! She was feisty. Drake will like her for sure. I'll send Chase out to track her down¨ Flower says, leaping off of the stump and Bounding into the trees.  WHAT they want ME to be Drake's mate is unbelievable. I raced down the tree and dashed away. I only got a few lengths away before the chase appeared from some bushes.

¨ Taylor, I didn't think you were the cat they wanted me to chase. Anyhow, I need you to follow me please¨ Chase Mewes heading off. I hesitated but followed. The grass was wet from the other days' rain. We then arrived at some broken rocks with overgrown vines hanging from them. It was dark. 

¨ in here¨ Chase said, holding the vines aside with his tail. I walked in then all of a sudden it was filled with light from the morning sun. As I stepped onto pebbles I felt a warm sensation. I then walked right into a light drown  pelt

¨ are you okay¨ The cat asked concern in her eyes 

¨ yes I’m fine but the question is are you okay?¨ I ask 

¨ Yes I  am Dusk¨  Dusk says looking me over ¨ Flower I think she's here¨ Flower appears from a den on a ledge. She jumped down

¨ so we meet again. I never introduced myself but I´m Flower¨ Flower says dipping her head to me

¨ Taylor¨ I say dipping my head as well 

¨you better get yourself groomed can you help her Dusk¨ Flower asks turning to Dusk. Dusk nodded and started to groom my back. After a few minutes, I was clean. 

¨ would you like anything to eat Taylor?¨ Chase asked 

¨ No chase I just finished grooming her eating will make her dirty again¨ Dusk mewed her tail on her paws

¨ I didn't ask you I asked Taylor¨ Chase mewed I could tell he was getting a bit angry

¨ WELL TO BAD¨ Dusk mewed standing to her paws her fur bristling

¨ MIND YOUR BUSINESS BUNNY-BRAIN¨ Chase yowled unsheathing his claws 

¨ ENOUGH¨ I yowl ¨ Iĺl eat after the meeting¨ 

¨ That works¨ Dusk says sitting back down

¨ Fine by me¨ Chase said sheathing his claws again I looked up and saw Drake sitting there I leaned to a random cat

¨ How long has he been sitting there¨ I ask

¨ Long enough to see you yell¨ The cat answers

¨ Do I say something¨ I ask

¨ No Don´t wait for him to ask you, it's polite¨ The cat responds.

¨Are you done?¨ Drake asks I sit there looking around

¨ heś talking to you¨ The cat says

¨ oh uh yes sir..er um yes mister... Uhhh I think you get the point¨ I stutter all the cats around me including Drake let out mews of laughter  

¨ Yes I suppose I do so funny one what is your name¨ Drake asks 

¨ Taylor¨ I reply

¨ Right¨ Drake says emerging from the shadows He was a beautiful golden brown tom with black socks and a black tail tip and hazel eyes. ¨ As you may and should know iḿ Drake and the cats around you are part of Pebble clan. Anyway, I have heard you want to join our clan. Is that correct?¨

¨ Yes sir¨ I say even though I didn't say that but I did need a clan besides these cats were nice

¨ Well, you need to complete three trials follow me¨ Drake mews leaping from his perch and out of the camp picking up speed. A few other cats follow him. We travel for a few minutes before we reach an open area with trees, rocks, sand, and tall grass. ¨ First you must climb this tree and travel along those branches to reach the great oak Tanner if you will stand by that one” Drake said 

“Yes sir” Tanner responded, trotting over to the tallest oak I’ve ever seen. Looking toward the middle I saw this huge spiral engraved in the bark making it look as if it would fall out at any second. 

“Next you must weave your way through these trees to that stump while avoiding combat with some warriors that will be hiding. Dusk please go there now” Drake said sitting down and curling his fluffy tail around his paws.  

“Sure drake,” Dusk said as she got up and bounded between trees to a stump a few feet away. 

“That’s sir to you” Drake yowled 

“Sorry, sir” dusk yowled back. 

“For the last trial you must choose a warrior to fight if you pin them for 3 seconds or you beat them you will be a part of the clan do you understand,” Drake asked looking at me

“Yes sir” I replied 

“You may begin” Drake yowled. I leaped into the tree drake told me I had to start from. Digging my claws into the tree I started to inch my way up. This isn’t sturdy at all! Growling my frustration I reached the 3rd branch. Searching the branch I saw where I could leap across and keep going. Carefully walking across the branch I tensed as the branch started to crack. The branch gave way but I was quick and I made it across. Searching the tree I see another clearing. Clawing my way up to the 6th branch is a walk across. Looks wider this time.  Tensing a bit I shot across. I look up one again and see the next clearing 2 more branches up. Easily climbing up, I made it to the next clearing. Leaping across, I searched for the next clearing. The next one was 4 branches down. Sighing, I leaped down and walked across the branch. The clearing was thinner so I easily made it. The next clearing was 8 branches up and the jump was to the great oak. I slowly made my way up the 8 branches looking across the clearing. It was as long as a truck.. Only two cats made this jump while the other members chickened out. I took a deep breath and backed up. Tensing, I ran across the branch and leaped into the air. Looking down, tanner looked up at me and mouthed “you're just going to plummet” then before I knew it I was across. Staring in awe I started to celebrate while looking at the faces of the other cats. As fast as I landed I slipped. My claws luckily grabbed the branch. All of a sudden *snap*  me and the branch plummet to the ground. I hit the ground hard then I saw black.
