“We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Rue White. Throughout her life, she was a kind and smart friend to many, though she wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself and others.” Grace took a deep breath. “When I first met Rue, I had no idea we’d become so close. She was just the shy little girl sitting in the corner. Over the years, she gained more and more confidence, becoming a smart and independent young woman. She will be remembered as such.”

Everyone in the room sniffled, remembering her.

Grace gave a nod and stepped away from the front, sitting down next to Draco.

A while later, after the funeral was over and Rue was buried next to Cedric, Grace made her way to the tombstone.

“Rue, I don’t know if you can hear me, but here I go anyway. I miss you so much already, I will never forget what you did for me. You will always be my best friend, even when I join you in the clouds."
