Family Background

Parents: Jimmy Riley & Winnie Tripp-Riley

Parents Background: Fallon’s parents are both muggles. Her dad worked as the Vice President of Rocky Studios (a movie production company) in NYC until he was offered the post of President at Hartley Studios in London in 1996. They moved to London in the beginning of 1997. Her mom is a chef who opened up a restaurant when they moved to London called A Taste of Home.

Relationship with Parents: Their family is a very close knit family and we still communicate in some way. Both parents came from poor families and they were close with their parents and they brought those relationships to their family. The biggest concern for them was their family and they always put the children before their work.

Sibling(s): 3 younger brothers. Albie Riley (26)-He is currently the American Ambassador for the Ministry of Magic; Stevie Riley (22)-Currently he works at Gringotts and he hopes to become a Curse-Breaker.; Peter Riley (18)-He is currently a Chaser for the Appleby Arrows.

Relationship with Sibling(s): They were always really close. The fights that they did have were over really stupid things and they would make up about an hour after the fight and be outside playing American football. Now that they've all graduated and got careers, they only see each other during the holidays but they still are close and send each other owls all the time.

Family Wealth: Average

Family Struggles: Living in New York City, there will always be struggles. Before her dad secured his position as Vice President of Rocky Studios, he was always in fear of losing his job. Working in the movie industry can be quite risky because there is always someone else working just as hard to get your job. Fallon’s dad was laid off multiple times and they struggled with money for a while and their parents struggled to put food on the table sometimes. This only brought them closer as a family because it taught them what was really important in life.

Planned child: Her parents have always told me that she was a happy unexpected surprise.

Interesting Info: They were surprised when Fallon got my letter to Hogwarts. One can only imagine how surprised they all were when all 3 of her brothers also got their letters to Hogwarts. Their parents will come visit them and are always amazed at how a witch & wizard live their lives.

Educational Background

Place of Study: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (1997-2004)

Likes: Her favorite thing as a child was ice cream- especially cookie dough ice cream. She also met some comedians through her dad's work and fell in love with the comedy world. Had she not received my letter to Hogwarts, she would have become a comedian.

Dislikes: As a child, Fallon hated broccoli. Since then, she have actually grown to like broccoli and it has become one of her favorite vegetables.

Childhood Best Friend: Her best friend from childhood (and currently) is Mac Tate. They grew up as neighbors and are the same age. He was the only one in my building who was the same age as her so they were kind of forced together but they were both okay with it. He's the more serious one. He is more serious than her but he still isn't a very serious person. He was the one who grounded her and stopped her from going too far with her pranks. They still hang out as much as they can but that has gotten more difficult since they've both grown up, got jobs and started families.

Worst Prank: One time, she planned a prank on the school and gathered all her classmates and snuck them on to the roof. Then they barricaded the door and hung out on the roof. The fire department was called and they were forced to get off the roof. She was suspended for a week but when she came back, her classmates welcomed her back with open arms.

Behaviour in School: She was the class clown.

Relationships

First Relationship: Mac Tate was her first relationship. They decided to try it out when they were 10 and it didn't work out so they went back to being friends.

Marital Status: Married

How he/she met his/her spouse: She met her husband while she was visiting her parents while on Winter Holiday during her 7th year at Hogwarts. His name is Matthew Manning. He worked for her dad and was visiting her dad for some work related things. They met each other and hit it off. She didn't want to start dating him because she didn't think dating someone from her dad's work was a good idea, but he kept insisting and she finally gave in. They dated for about 4 years and got married on October 10, 2013.

Children: 1

About the Children: They found out she was pregnant right before their wedding. They decided to postpone the wedding until after the baby was born. On August 17, 2013; their son, Cal Riley-Manning was born. He's a little over a year old and they couldn't be happier.

Career

Job before becoming a Professor in Hogwarts: Head of the Department of Magical Transportation

When graduated from Hogwarts: 2004

How he/she became a Professor: She received an owl telling her they were looking for someone to become the Magical Transportation Professor at Hogwarts. The letter asked if she would be interested and if not her, if she could recommend someone for the job. Originally, she planned on recommending her friend Owen Williamson. Then, the more she thought about it, the more she liked the idea of becoming a professor. She sent an owl back saying she would be honored to take the position.

Why this course: Once she got the owl, even before she decided she was going to take the post, she started thinking about the lessons she would teach and the fun practical lessons she could teach. The more she thought about it, the more she realized she was meant to become a professor.

Interesting Info: Fallon played Beater for the Holyhead Harpies for 2 years after graduating from Hogwarts. It was some of the most fun times she’s ever had but due to a shoulder injury she had to step down and moved to the Broom Regulatory Control Office. From there she worked myself to head of the department and then after 4 years, she was promoted to Head of the Department of Magical Transportation.

Once a month, they have competitions between the departments. Each month they play games with one mode of transport. she started out in the Broom Regulatory Control office, and she’s proud to say that the Broom Regulatory Control office is undefeated in the games for the past 11 months.
